The location was great. Very close to the Commuter Rail and many buses that took you to neighboring Seattle. The room was nice but not as large as the pictures online. Since my stay was just over the last weekend, it was very very cold outside and the heating system in the room barely crank out heat. I shivered the entire night. Perhaps it was just that one room, but rather than complain and ask for a move to another room, I stuck it out. The continental breakfast which I had read was awful, was quite the opposite. Good strong coffee, waffles, eggs, sausage and an aray of muffins and sweets. This was beyond the typical complimentry breakfast. I wasn't too happy with the shower. While the pressure was great and it put out an ample amount of hot water, it was one of those hand held deals and it didn't attach to anything so you had to hold it the entire time, which I thought was crazy! Room service was great. My boyfriend and I ordered it twice and we were quite pleased. All in all not a bad stay for the money. I paid $92.00 a night which i thought was a tad high for a hotel of this type, but the location made up for it. Free parking, helpful staff. Worth the price even with the little things that were slighly off.

Someone commented negatively about the continental breakfast so we almost skipped it -- glad we investigated for ourselves. I had a waffle, eggs, sausage, and orange juice. The orange juice was very good quality as was the sausage, and the eggs and waffle were all right. Husband liked everything too. Breakfast out would have cost us $20 and after all it's only breakfast. I would eat it again!

Finding a reasonable hotel in Tacoma seemed very difficult. But I stumbled on to this BW Tacoma Dome via the internet and was pleasantly surprised. Cheap rates and a very clean, well maintained property.

This is a no frills place. Very basic and nothing fancy. But we found the rooms extremely clean, large, and quiet. The lobby, elevator areas, and hallways were clean and nice which is always a good sign. Staff were very helpful and nice.

There was a free continental breakfast in the mornings. Parking was free and well secured. Internet access was available. Noticed a security guard was on duty in the parking and lobby areas during late nights and he was very pleasant and helpful when asking him directions. This made us feel safe. Easy access to freeways.

Just a warning - if there is no event at the Tacoma Dome (across the street), this area is very dead at night. You will need to drive out to nearby downtown or some of the local strip malls in Tacoma. Sort of in an industrial area, so you should not be walking alone off the property at night.

Overall, if you're just looking for a comfortable place to sleep, this is definitely the place if you're in Tacoma. We were extremely happy with this hotel and feel it's a great value!

While visiting Tacoma recently, my daughter and I stayed at the Best Western Tacoma Dome. This was just an overnite stay, when my daughter returned to college there. We had also stayed here one year ago. On both visits we found the rooms to be clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms spotless. There is a minifrig, microwave and coffeemaker in each room, as well as a hairdryer, ironing board and iron.
The improvement that we noticed this year was the continental breakfast. It was so much better than a year ago. We were surprised to have a waffle maker, scrambled eggs, muffins, bagels, doughnuts, cereal, and fresh fruit.
I made the reservation through AAA, so saved some $$ on the room, as well.
It's a relatively short drive to downtown Tacoma and Old Town.
I'll definitely stay here again.
