“spine trail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

chose this trail as it's 2.6 miles roundtrip and takes you to a variety of views, including Gig Harbor. The weather became a bit overcast and chilly, but the walk was great; hope to explore some of the others next visit

“Relax and enjoy view.”

Haven't walked the trails yet but the drive was pretty and relaxing.
So glad we took the time to take the short drive through the park.

Always a nice, relaxing ride that you can take anyday at anytime and enjoy. Fun for the whole family, or by yourself.

“Wonderful views of the Sound.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

I often take my senior clients for a drive through 5 mile. They appreciate the stillness, beauty and peace they don't get in the city. There is a lot to do here, you can walk, drive, bicycle, skateboard (if you know how..lol) through the entire area. There is access and parking to play, fish or kayak off the beach and a snack shop that is open occasionally. We keep coming back here when friends and family come visit, everyone always enjoys their time here.

When coming into the drive, there are playgrounds you can stop and let your children play, you will also pass by Fort Nisqually. That's always a nice addition to your trip.

Sit back and enjoy the ride, the view and most of all the quietness.

Ps, you might even see a ild critter along the way.

“A Sunday drive, anytime!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is such a lovely drive. You take a slow, winding road through beautiful towering old growth trees and Rhodies almost as large. Shady lane revisited! Park and walk down prepared trails to the beach or stop and sit at a table in the shade & picnic.
