The location is convenient, if not especially picturesque, for a stay in Tacoma. Having recently completed five months of renovations, the hotel and its rooms feel clean and well-cared for. The breakfast buffet included waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, juices, milk and coffee served in a restaurant overlooking the pool courtyard. Our small dog was treated to snacks by the front desk staff. All in all a pleasant place to stay for a short trip.

We stayed here when we saw Paul McCartney at the Tacoma Dome. The room was clean and very sufficient for my husband and brother law. However, when we took showers at 9 AM there was not an ounce of hot, even warm water. Granted, it was a full hotel but shouldn't they have big enough water heaters for the ENTIRE hotel?! Also...there was a breakfast buffet that was put away promptly, and I mean promptly, at 10 AM. The staff was very unaccomodating regarding trying to even get a muffin at 1 minute to 10 AM and had nothing to say about the hot water.
