“Best sushi north of San Francisco”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

This place always suprised me. It's three hundred miles from the ocean but they have great sushi and Japanese food. Always fresh and quick friendly service.

“Great food, authentic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012 via mobile

We had a nice dinner. So cool to see shabu shabu on the menu! Sushi was good, shabu shabu was excellent. Service was mediocre, drinks were pretty good. We've been to Japan and this was a lot like what we had in several places there. I definitely recommend this place!

“Local Classic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2012

This little local place has been around forever. It has a fiercely loyal following. Potential guests need to remember that traditional Japanese food is based on fresh Seafood ... and that
Spokane is an inland city - some seven hour drive from the
nearest salt water.

“Good sushi and good price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2011

I love Suki Yaki Inn. They aren’t trendy and their selection is a little limited, but they always deliver with a great price and fresh rolls. The staff is always polite, helpful and efficient. The drinks from the bar are good also.

“Not bad, not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2011

Service was excellent. The one and only waitress was attentive and helpful even though she had several tables to serve. We ordered sushi, a couple of appetizers and a cooked salmon dish. The salmon dish steamed with ginger was the star of the meal. The salmon sushi was also good with the sliced green onions and black sesame seeds. But throughout the entire meal, I ate with trepidation because I did not feel the place was that clean. It could have been because the place has probably not been updated in the 60+ years it has been in business. Clearly they have customers, I wish they would spend a little money and improve the surroundings.
