“Step back in time and up in class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

What a great historic hotel. I wont stay anywhere else in Spokane in the future. I met a women here who was in her 90's and she said when they used to travel from her family home in Montana to Seattle as a little girl they always used to stop over at the Davenport and it was her most memorable hotel. As she talked and I looked around I felt like I was traveling back in time and up in class. I spent a lot of time here at a convention which was really well accommodated by the hotel. Some of the preservation stories are quit remarkable. I would highly recommend staying here.

Three nights at The Davenport and we didn't want to leave! We were 2 couples in Spokane for a family graduation... friend who lives there told us "you cannot stay anywhere but The Davenport". She was so right! The hotel is beautiful, elegant, well kept and run very well. From check in to check out all went smoothly, and though it was sold out, at night there was no noise or loud guests. The pool area was great and the 4th floor terrace for guests was a nice touch. The mezzanine is so beautiful and the history of the hotel so intersting. Cant wait to go back.
One thing we did not not care for was having ice bucket in the bathroom.. not hygienic! And a coffee maker in rooms would add to over all experience. Other than that, we loved it!

Room Tip: Will know to ask for higher floor room next time for the views.

This hotel is just class. As soon as you enter the hotel and walk across a 2 story lobby with class furniture and decor, you know the place is special. The rooms include Davenport bedding which is very luxurious. Large marble bathrooms with with large walk in showers. We had evening meetings so we only ate breakfast in the hotel and I was very pleased with quality. Don't forget to have a martini or two in the Peacock Lounge.

The interiors are beautiful and quite impressive. We were upgraded to a corner room with separate living and bedroom areas. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable and we heard no noise from other rooms. We had a small fridge and microwave with a small bar sink and countertop in the living area. The bath was clean and functional. Only problem in the room was with one of the drapes that detached itself and would not close. I left a note for housekeeping to repair it and it was fixed on the second day.

As a priority guest we had breakfast coupons for the 'continental' which is just a coffee, juice and pastry. The first day we 'upgraded' to omelets, which were not that good. On subsequent days we just went with the continental and noticed a significant change in the server attitude and our ability to get a coffee refill. What a shame - nice place but I would expect much better service and much less attitude.

The location is an easy walk to pretty much anything downtown. Good restaurants in the vicinity in all directions.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room

I have stayed here a few times. This hotel both the old part and the tower are beautiful.

The staff are incredible and it is walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

The first time I stayed there was in the tower and the room was great with very comfy beds. The second visit I stayed in the old part and it is also incredible. I have ate in the restaurants and the food was great.

At the Hotel Davenport for a meeting. What a beautiful setting. The ballrooms and lobby are beautiful and each one is different. Pick up the self-guide at the desk for the specifics. The lobby feels like a big city hotel lobby where people hang out and meet each other.

The hotel rooms are HUGE. And the bathrooms are very unexpectedly BIG. The tub is shallow The beds require a hearty jump or climb [or just use the step provided] because the mattress top is about kitchen counter high. Comfortable beds. Quiet rooms. A different type of peanut brittle on the beds each night with turndown. A big hotel that feels gracious.

Just a few blocks to the Spokane River and waterfalls. City park, shopping mall, riverwalk, restaurants. Great view of the main falls from the reading area in the public library just a skywalk from Nordstrom's

The food for the meeting meals was very good. The vegetarian choices were better.

Just spent another weekend at the Davenport and, as always, absolutely wonderful. Beautiful corner room with the amazing King bed and beautifully appointed bath. The Eggs Benedict for breakfast in the Palm Court were delicious The service was impeccable, especially the delightful gentleman that greets guests at the front door. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this is certainly one of the best.

Room Tip: King corner rooms are very nice.
