“Luxurious Trip”

My husband and I were relieved, when we came here from Maryland, to see such a beautiful hotel in a small city. We loved the look of the hotel room and the wonderful amenities the hotel has to offer. The hot tub was so relaxing and we had fun using their FREE taxi service to drive us around town. We felt like royalty! The service was amazing and we couldn't be happier with our stay. We wish we had a hotel like this back home.

We've been here before and have always had a nice time but this time we were upgraded to the Circus Room and wow! That is something for the kids. I was told this room was built by the owner years ago for his grandchildren and its worth the upgrade.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Davenport, for a marriage retreat. The Davenport has a fantastic atmosphere, excellent location to entertainment and fine dining, and friendly helpful staff. While we enjoyed our stay our bed was fairly uncomfortable- soft and lumpy; however we would stay again.

We recently stayed at this hotel while in town for national volleyball qualifications. This hotel is in a great location to walk to activities or drive. The staff were very nice and well informed to answer any questions we had. The food there was great and the service outstanding. The remodel takes you back to the 1920's and done well. We asked for a high floor room and extra feather pillows and there they were. We also received a complimentary newspaper in the morning. The only things we thought were lacking is the bed - it was too soft for us (we sleep on a foam/gel bed) a pillow top, and kind of funky. Also, we had a one king bed room and it was very small. We couldn't open a window so it was hard to get the room temperature just right (too warm). Stay here though, get a different room than the one we had, and maybe they have different types of beds. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Beautiful hotel. Courteous and friendly staff. Clean rooms. Stayed in room 1403. Found out that this was next to the elevator shaft. If you are a light sleeper make sure your room is not next to an elevator shaft! Between the noise of the elevators and the trains, did not sleep at all. Ask for a room on the opposite side of the train tracks. Lesson learned. Bed mattress was on the harder side. Window of car fell down at the valet station. They gladly parked the car in a secure area and ducked taped it the next morning for the trip home. Very helpful.

The lobby is pure eye candy. Great service throughout hotel. Room was very cozy but traditional (should be expected in this type of hotel). Bath tub and bed were fantastic. Restaurant was disappointing. Was seated in back half so what is the point. Hostess should let you know if sitting in back corner since the experiences are so different. Food was too salty, meat undercooked, fish overcooked. Spa is nice and easy to access. Location central - can walk to everything, including the not-to-be-missed Riverfront Park and Skyride over the falls! Really enjoyed the friendly and relaxed vibe in Spokane.

The room was nice and mostly clean, however, there was some floss left over in the garbage can from the previous guests, and some gross stuff on the bed skirt, and some dirt on one of the sheets (see pics for all three). I requested a quiet room and stressed this because I would be having a dog with me. Overall, the stay was quiet (at least from other guests). Our room was directly across the staff room and the stairwell. So that was very loud, although by bedtime, it wasn't an issue. I ordered "chicken tenders" from their room service menu, but they were actually nuggets shaped like tenders, so I did not eat them. I let the room service attendant know, as well as filled out the comment card about the issue. (There IS a difference) The fried were actually good though, and there were enough to keep me satisfied. On being dog friendly...you have to actually cross the street in order to let your dog relieve himself. it would be soooo much better if they could have some sort of patch of grass on the side where the hotel is. Also, to my knowledge, there was no public area the dog was allowed in. I understand that they can't be in the areas where food is prepared/served, but I think they could put in some chairs in a different spot where one could sit with their dog and not be cooped up in the room. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. Just be ware of the non-chicken tenders, and the walk to get your dog to a potty. I would stay here again only if I didn't have my dog with me.
