They did a beautiful job restoring the Davenport. We have stayed in the old section and the Tower.

The rooms are tasteful, the food is good in the restaurants, and the whole experience is pleasant.

The parking is a little bit of a pain, but you are staying in the downtown section.

The spa and the home shop are very nice too.

This Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Spokane. I have stayed here twice now and absolutely love it. The Hotel is perfectly located and the staff are more than helpful with the surrounding area. I recommend staying in the Tower.

Room Tip: Stay in the Tower.

This is a vintage hotel, beautifully remodeled to update the rooms while retaining the most important architectural features of the building. Our room in the old hotel was spacious and lovely with great furniture and super comfortable bed and linens [something they are known for].
Be sure to check out the second floor with its elegant rooms and photos from the end of the Gilded Age.

Green Features: They use dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion, but do change towels mid-day.

On the advice of a local friend, chose to stay at the historical hotel versus the newer Tower although ate our meals at Safari in the Tower which had lunch and dinner specials. Good value food, especially the chocolate mousse and cheese medley! Other highlights were the exquisitely beautiful Lobby, down pillows, Charmin bathroom tissues, L'Occitane toiletries, free postcards with complimentary postage, the peanut brittle treats on the pillows, Safari Restaurant and the super friendly waitresses. Downside: it is understandably expensive but we were able to get an online coupon, need to pay for parking, our room only had a shower stall, no bath tub, no L'Occitane toiletry leftover bottles to take home as they're all from built in containers on the walls. After long term stays at hotels overseas, do miss the shower caps, slippers and other stuff regularly provided there and expected in the best hotels in the US.

Second time back to the Davenport and whilst we enjoyed the tower last time we stayed in the original hotel this time around and loved it. The room is traditional and very comfortable - the bed was just wonderful. The service was outstanding from everyone even though we were there over a very busy weekend. Really enjoyed a Starbucks in the lobby each morning and a drink in the Peacock Bar each evening. Coming back to Spokane in a couple of weeks and looking forward to staying again. The town car drivers were outstanding - just so friendly and helpful!

This hotel is actually two hotels, the historic Davenport and the Davenport Tower, located diagonally across an intersection from each other. The staff are obviously well acquainted with guest confusion on this issue, and are super courteous and gracious. The valet staff at both locations work together to make the guests' stay convenient and easy. The rooms came with everything you expect in a four diamond hotel, from candies on your pillow to the super plush robes. The bars had fun themes, the architecture and decor (viewable in the guided self tour) are really well done. While there, I had several special requests, two required the staff to follow up after I left. The staff followed through perfectly on both issues. This place is a bargain, even if you live close, this is a great place for a weekend stay-cation.

Room Tip: There aren't any great views in downtown Spokane unless you are on the river, so view isn't...
