“ambiance, service, good food. Watch the "selling"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

When you're served by owners, it is different. The stake they have in your being upsold, is higher. So, beware of that. If you're willing to say no thank you a time or three, it will be worth it. The food is just great and fairly priced. Desserts are divine. There's live music some nights and if you're into wine, this is a tasting hotspot. They do a bang up job, down to coffee, everything is fresh and they work to keep the customer happy and coming back.

“Everything Exceptional!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

This restaurant was recommended by a local when I asked for a good lunch spot. Well, it was sooooo good, we came back with 3 others for dinner!! As I said, everything was great...food, service, ambiance, presentation, menu and something for everyone to enjoy. If you are in the neighborhood of the south hill you wont be dissappointed. Our favs were the mushroom soup, lobster and crab bisque (both incredible), turkey dinner, ravioli, and all the deserts sound wonderful...but we tried the lemon cake, lime cheesecake and chocolate cake. They were unbelievably great! The owner (Dan, I think) came around to the tables... had a nice chat with his guests. Then, there was music! No cover, just music to enjoy during dinner...a lady who played accoustical guitar and violin very well! Oh, almost forgot to mention...Wine was fabulous! The Pinot gris from Walla Walla was really nice....would have preferred it chilled a bit more. That is probably a personal perference.

“Very elitist. Very rude. Very judgemental of patrons.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014 via mobile

It was Mother's Day. We were sitting on the patio. The manager came out to talk to some other guests at the table next to us. I have never been so embarrassed. The manager was so rude and condescending to the ladies... On Mother's Day! I will never eat here again or recommend to anyone out of respect for other foodies.

“Great neighborhood cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

This little cafe is hidden away on the south hill of Spokane. The food is marvelous with the option for small plates. There are also small novelty gift items. Laguna is a secret cafe that more need to know about.

“Laguna with Tempus Wines”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

Great evening at a new place (for us). Laguna Cafe has a wide variety on its menu that includes appetizers, small plates, entrees, desserts, beer, wine and even a drive through (not for beer and wine). Joe Forest, winemaker of Tempus Cellars, was there for a tasting of his great wines from Walla Walla. Worth the trip to the South Hill.
