“Meeting a friend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012 via mobile

We usually meet over a beer each month, lately been going to other places. Back to Ale House and not disappointed. Fried pickles are the best around and worth the snowy bike ride to get there.

Ale House (and the other merchants on the block) need to invest in a bike rack. I generally have to get a tale by a window and park my bike at the window since there are no convent racks nearby. There is a 2-placer at the Spokane Business center, but that is usually full.

“Best thick burger in town.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

I like Five Guys and Fries, but if you want a thick burger, this is the best I've had in 12 years of living here. I can eat it without bread or condiments, it's so good. I like it with the condiments they automatically add if you don't specify. Just be sure to especially request the doneness to be 'right on'. Overcooked are not as good.

“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

We ate here whilst staying in the attached Hotel Lusso. The food was tasty, good value and generous portions. Service was friendly and helpful and the big bonus was the huge selection of different beers available which we enjoyed sampling a few.

“Nice spot”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

The menu is not that interesting and generally bland, but beers are excellent and there is plenty of fun choices.

“Decent beer selection, comfy atmosphere, slow service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Good place for a beer with friends; they do have an interesting selection of microbrews, written up on the chalkboard and not on the printed menu. But some of those interesting ones are not worth trying (like the pumpkin-yam I had, yuck!) And the service is slow when they're busy, especially if you're in a large group. They do have some tables set up for large groups, and I like the half-round tables set up against the windows. The food seemed average, we only had appetizers (fries, calamari).
