“nice hotel close to downtown activities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2008

nice, clean hotel. friendly staff. I stayed during a volleyball tournament and the hotel was full of teenaged girls. the staff at the desk was very open about this and told me that if I had any complaints to call right away. they were in full control of the activity, so I was very happy. the breakfast bar was fully stocked. the hotel location is close to downtown and easily walkable to the river park and other activities.

The room smelled good, the place was clean, the bedding was clean, and i loved the granite/marble counter tops in the bathroom. they allowed us to go in and see the room before booking a stay, was satisfied with the service and the clean room so decided to stay. for the price and the area, and the service and room accomodations, it was one of the best places to stay. we had fun! and breakfast was yummy.. cereal, bagels, muffins, juice, coffee tea.. etc. on the plus side when my thumb drive wouldnt work on their computer in the lobby the guy at the front desk helped us and it worked out great. would stay again! :) close to idaho, nice movie theatre, and downtown mall type place all right near by.

This is a corporate standard room located in downtown Spokane. There are no surprises lurking in the room. You are near a major thoroughfare, so you might have to keep your fan running at night if you are sensitive to noise. The staff are super friendly, but I believe that comes from living in Spokane (a tremendously improved city.) Catch the chocolate chip cookies while they are hot in the evening. For the runners/walkers in the group, the centennial trail is literally steps from the front entrance of the hotel. Here you are also catty-corner from Fast Eddy's, a place with tons of microbrews on tap. You can walk to a variety of restaurants. Avoid 'Italian Kitchen'. Steelhead Grill has an excellent burger.

My family and I booked two (2) rooms, they were large and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and we all had a good nights rest after spending all day at Silverwood Theme Park. Wished there was a refrigerator available.

  • Liked — The location.
  • Disliked — Lack of a refrigerator in the room.

Great place -- extremely friendly and helpful staff, fantastic breakfast (waffles, sausage/egg sandwiches, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cereal, etc..) 24 hour coffee/tea -- warm cookies in the evening. Rooms were clean and standard. Pool small, but nice.

  • Liked — Great breakfast!
  • Disliked — 10-15 minute walk to downtown

Stayed here at least 10x in the last year - its always quiet, clean, and the staff was great. Even when I got in from Chicago at 2 or 3am, always friendly - and welcoming. Save money, stay here - not the Doubletree across the street. And the parking is free too!

We travel to Spokane every year at Christmas time and usually stay at the Fairfield Inn. Last year we stayed at the Double tree, WHAT A MISTAKE there was a big party and the hotel was filled with drunck idiots yealling untill 2:00 am. The Fairfeild is very clean and very comfortable and VERY quite. We always find the staff helpful and friendly. Won't stay anywhere else from now on. Trust me, for the price Fairfield is a great place to stay. Nothing fancy but who needs glitz in Spokane. Its Spokane for god sakes.!

  • Liked — Clean and friendly
  • Disliked — Basic hotel nothing fancy.
  • Tips/Secrets — Great place for the price.
