“Poor service more than once, owner lied”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

We would eat here twice a month then once we had a milk ring or some type of plastic ring in my husbands food, they promptly made us a new one at no charge, which was great, however upon two more visits we were basically ignored by the wait staff while those around us who came in after us received prompt attention and were given the specials etc. when we finally got service no mention of specials or the same level of attention as others. We wrote a letter to the owner. She seemed mortified and empathized with our poor experience. She asked that we please give her restaurant another chance on her by way of gift certificates she would be sending. This was in early June it's been over a month, still waiting on those gift certificates........ After she offered the gift certificates she said she recognized our name and apologized as she had had a professional relationship with my husbands company he owned and would be in touch soon for more work. We informed her we must simply share the same name as my husband is a firefighter and has no company, perhaps this is why we never received them cause we weren't who she thought we were? Never going back.

“Large group was served very well”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

We had 30 on July 4 and they had about 10 other customers in this small restaurant, food and service was pleasant and delicious. I had forgotten how good it really was, this was breakfast, I will go back for lunch.

“Our top choice for dinner when we visit Spokane”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

There is no debate about our dining choice when we visit Spokane. We have never been disappointed. Their menu offers a great range of food choices and price levels. The servers combine warmth with professionalism.

“What is Maggie's? It doesn't live up to its reputation.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2012

As a neigboorhood diner, Maggie is just okay, but pricy. But Maggie's seems to be aspiring to be more than just a local casual diner. Its hard to figure out if it is trying to be upscale casual or what.

Since opening, Maggie's has developed a strong reputation. Yet on my first visit this week, didn't see anything all that special and prices are on the high side for what you get.

The atmosphere is plain and the booths are not very comfortable. Service was just okay. The food was just okay, but priced on the high side. $13 for a chicken pot pie? Nice chicken and nice crust but sloppy presentation.

Dessert was a big disappointment even though it came highly recommended by our waitress.

At half the price, the meal for both of us would have been acceptable, but nothing to rave about. Almost $60 with tip, for a chicken pot pie, a hummus small plate, two glasses of wine and a bad dessert that we split, it was a disappointment.
