“The Falls & Park are Beautiful, the hike to the bottom is open”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

My husband and I decided to check out the Falls in anticipation of a visit from an out of town guest. We had not been to the falls or park in many years. We heard that the path down to the bottom of the Falls had reopened. There are great views of the Falls from the lookouts at the park. They have done a nice job on the 1.2 mile path to the bottom. Its compact gravel and you can walk it in tennis shoes. We even saw some flip flops, but I would not recommend it. The path is steep in some places and would not be suitable for someone with mobility or serious lung issues. Allow yourself 40 minutes or more for the down and back. There is also an option to park in the lower parking lot, avoid the path, and still be able to see the bottom of the falls. We arrived at 10am on Father's Day Sunday and had no problem parking. But, by the time we came back up the parking lots were almost full.

“Beautiful Falls and Lava Bombs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

We were on our way from Mt. Rainier to the North cascades and took a detour to the falls. The river was pushing over 1200 CFS. The falls are sitting on the top of an old volcano. if you zoom in on the boulders across the river about a 1/4 mile from the base you will see some very large spherical objects. These are lava bombs expelled from a now inactive volcano

“Gorgeous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed the visit here. The hard scape made it very easy to enjoy the falls from many viewpoints. The hike down to the bottom wasn't difficult--a bit steep, but only half a mile long. There is a lower parking lot for people who might have trouble navigating the hill. The gift shop had cute things as well as coffee, espresso, and snacks. A must-see when visiting Seattle, maybe a 45 minute drive.

“Refreshing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

On Warm days, the drive through the back roads to this attraction is very pleasant; and once there you can choose to observe from above, or if you have the time and the physical stamina, go down the trail to the water's edge and get blown away by the majestic sounds and presence of this amazing waterfall.

Kids love this and it is definitely a romantic attraction as well.

Enjoy

“Nice quick trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014 via mobile

We visited Seattle for few days and we got extra hours to spare so we decided to drive to the Snoqualmie falls. We were glad we did that, the falls was beautiful and breathtaking. The falls is just few steps from the road, they have paths leading to the viewpoints. There are also some educational informations explaining how the falls have been used in the area as a hydroelectric power source. Its about 30 miles drive but it is very well worth the drive, and its free!
