“Amazing!!!!”

If you haven't stayed here and are considering it......stay!!! The property is gorgeous, the staff friendly and the rooms are amazing. My room had a view of the "wooded landscape", it was gorgeous. I could hear the water and off my balcony I could actually see the crest of the falls. I was pleasantly surprised. I will be staying again as soon as I possibly can.

My partner and I visited the Salish Lodge recently and there's no denying it's a beautiful hotel in a stunning setting but under the gloss there were some issues that really detracted from our stay. Our major complaint was that for the entire duration of our visit the water boiler was out of action. We had heard from friends who stayed here a while ago that the rooms have amazing jetted bath tubs, and sure, the one in our room looked awesome but if you can't fill the darn thing with hot water then there's no way of making use of it. We went to fill our tub soon after we arrived tired and stressed from a three hour drive through I5 traffic only to find that the water coming out of the tap was tepid at best. After playing around with the faucet for a while I put in a call to guest services only to be told matter of factly that, yes, they were aware there was no hot water and that they didn't know when it would be back on. I was a bit taken aback; this was a $700+ experience after all. By next morning we thought things must surely be better but we were wrong. Turns out, there's nothing like a stone-cold shower at 8am to really take the gloss off a luxury hotel stay.

I decided to say something to the receptionist when we left but when we went to check out there was only one young lady behind the desk and a long line of guests stacking up in the lobby. She didn't even bother to ask us how our stay was, her manner was very abrupt and she certainly didn't give off an air of being in the slightest bit interested in our experience; she just wanted to run my credit card as fast as she could.

There were other things like the unfortunate waitress staffing The Attic restaurant on her own which made for poor service. She was really doing her best but it was obvious that she didn't have time to interact with the diners, or even sweep up the big chunks of lettuce and pizza crust dropped under our table by previous visitors, as she raced past to drop plates off. The food was decent - the cured ham starter was delicious, the pizzas are good but nothing special.

We had a couple of spa treatments whilst we were there, and again, they were good but we both felt we'd had better and for a cheaper price. The treatment rooms are little more than small, screened closets off the side of a long hallway so every time someone walks by outside you can hear every word they say even if they are talking in a low voice. In my room it was also easy to hear a washing machine rumbling away close by between the tracks of the relaxation CD that was playing.

So, in all, our stay was enjoyable but with all the problems we ran into it certainly wasn't worth even close to what we paid to stay there. We won't be going back, and we won't be recommending this place to our friends and family.

As you pull up to this hotel, there is a really nice water feature and the smell of burning wood. That's because the rooms have wood burning fireplaces! The hotel has a lodge type feeling, but the rooms are in really good shape. Very quiet and you can open your door and hear the falls outside (or if you have a balcony, head out there and really hear them). The attic upstairs is amazing (it is a bar/restaurant), The bartender Tyson makes some amazing drinks and on Wednesday's they have WW. That's Wine Wednesday (WW) where there are special prices on bottles of wine! Started my short visit to Seattle at this hotel and honestly wish I could have stayed here the entire time. If you get a chance, do walk all the way down to the river (at the bottom of the falls - amazing.)

Room Tip: As for a room closer to the falls.

If I could this would be a 3.5 star property--not 4.0. To begin--it's very expensive. Rooms can vary from beautiful such as those with a full or partial falls view on the 4th floor and with vaulted ceilings. Food is delicious but extremely expensive and the portions are generally very meager. Staff were quite pleasant and helpful. Fitness center is mediocre (although clean). This is a one night stop for romantics--lots of fireplaces; or for weddings, corporate events etc. You must have a car here! Snoqualmie Falls, adjacent to the property. is certainly the highlight of a visit here. Hiking to the base of the falls is beautiful. Did not use the spa so can't comment. The Club lounge which cost $60 per day extra is a total waste of money.

Room Tip: Fourth floor!

Definitely a beautiful location and facility. The front desk staff was unorganized and was unable to fulfill requests and reservations that had been made in advance. Rooms are $350 + per night; Seemed odd that some of our basic needs (like getting a cab) could not be accomplished. We just took care of it ourselves when told it couldn't be done (we had no problem figuring it out). Things would have been fine if we didn't leave our room, but we needed a little help coordinating transportation to get to a special event and it was not done for us.

Dear Rebecca Y,

I am very sorry to hear about your disappointment with our Front Desk's ability to get you a cab. Our location does make it more challenging to provide this particular service but we are typically able to assist as we have a good relationship with 2 local services.

I would love to speak with you further if it is not too much trouble for you. My direct line is 425-831-6501. Please feel free to call me any time.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The rooms and attention to detail, cleanliness, views, and quality of amenities is of the highest standard. You will be enveloped in relaxation, and your breath will be taken away by the stunning views. The staff in all areas of the hotel go above and beyond to make it an amazing experience. You won't want to leave!

Beautiful lodge inside and out. Nice scent is blown through all vents so the lobby and halls etc smell like a nice spa. They put coffee out in the morning in the lobby area and cookies/tea in the afternoon. Room was well appointed w/a small balcony. Only ate breakfast there but it was super. Seated by the window which overlooks the ravine and waterfall- looked like a painting. Breakfast was super fresh and very good. Spa was too expensive for us (@$225+ for a regular 1 hr massage) so we didn't try that. Can walk to overlook and see full falls - really pretty. Can also walk down ravine on path and get to bottom river- has small beach and rocks to sit on and wade. Note that the walk up is somewhat steep and a bit long so if not in shape or decent health- just be aware of the steep walk back up. Its paved and/or pebbled dirt but steep. They have a very nice gift shop with a mix of beautiful photos and other items - not just your typical hotel gift shop. The staff were super nice/helpful.

One thing to note is that there is a energy/power plant right there and the wires etc are right next to the hotel. Some may not enjoy having those close by. Also, there is dim lighting throughout including the bathrooms- to keep the spa feel. It was somewhat dark in the shower/bathrooms so be prepared for those of you who prefer some light when getting ready!

Would recommend going left out of hotel if you have a car and see the beautiful view mountains a few minutes down the road. We saw elk, a gorgeous sunset, etc in front of the mountains.
