“Great Food, Good Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Terrific food whether you are there for dinner or brunch. Great quality steaks, really good ribs and the seafood specials I've had have been terrific. The one issue is that if it is hot out (a rarity in Snoqualmie for sure) the restaurant gets overly warm and can be uncomfortable. The few times we encountered this, we just ordered our food to go -- issue fixed.

“Thursday Nite 30% off Wine - Better than Casino 8 Sustainable Wild Game”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Carnivore? Woodman has something for you.

Buffalo Ribeye
Wild Boar Osco Busco
Elk Medallions
Pheasant
Pork Ribs
Beef steak

All expertly prepared on the flame grill. Pair with nice selection of wines, 30% off bottles on Thursday. We had Waterbrook Reserve Merlot $37.00 less 30% (you do the math) but s real deal.

Ate at the beautiful vintage bar with a working water flowing spitoon. Brass eagle claws holding the brass rail are life size. Eat here instead of the casino, just a short drive away.

“Even the burgers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Visiting from CT, our second time at this pleasant casual restaurant/bar, we recalled the excellent steak dinners from our first trip 2 years ago. Antique decor, "player" piano music greeting us as we entered, and this time in mood for lighter fare, we opted for burgers (mine was buffalo), excellent, with their standard accompaniment of rosemary fries. Onion rings were very good, but I have had better calamari. Drinks were good by all accounts, mine being an Oregon draft porter; would have had a second, but I was driving. Got seated without reservation at 4:00 on Friday, but locals tell me we were lucky. We will visit again.

“pretensions to grandeur”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

Waiter wasn't well-informed as to the ingredients in the salad dressing. The chef was helpful in providing a non-allergic alternative for me, however. They charge enough for the food that it should be a little bit better than it is.

“Found this purely by luck”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

After an impromptu visit to the Falls with out-of-state family we were looking for somewhere reasonable to eat, with a bit of character. Driving up and down "Main Street" didn't offer many inviting choices, but fortunately we wandered a block back to Woodman.

From the outside it's an appealing, historic building complete with gas lamps over the door. Immediately inside the front door is a wood stove, which creates a very inviting atmosphere. We were a party of 7 with no reservation on the dot of noon, but we were nonetheless accommodated in what was already a busy dining room. It's dark inside which makes the original decor a little hard to see, but the overall impression is very comfortable and cosy.

Service was very friendly and professional, and kept up with us pretty well even though it was definitely busy. I had the 1/2lb Buffalo burger, which was moist, tasty and perfectly cooked. As others will have noted the rosemary fries are excellent, and very popular with everyone at our table.

Judging from the completely cleaned plates the Reuben was also very good, and the littlest diner polished off far more chicken and fries than she normally eats. Soup, Prime dip and biscuits with gravy all received thumbs up too.

The kitchen was keeping up pretty well, and the time to deliver our food was reasonable given the number of diners. There were no mistakes with anything we ordered, and everything was correctly prepared - nothing cold, over or under cooked. We were sat fairly close to the pass and communication from servers to cooks seemed very composed and professional. They were kept busy, but no one seemed to be stressed or loosing it.
