“Worth a return trip to Sequim again and again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2011

My husband and I loved staying at the Dungeness Barn House. In fact, we stayed an extra night. Lucky us. Breakfast was beautifully served and delicious. Everything was fresh, local fare, wonderfully prepared. Piping hot coffee and tea and fresh juice. It just doesn't get any better than this. Our host, Berta, made us feel right at home. Her gracefulness, knowledge of the Sequim area and her beautifully decorated home made staying at the Barn House the highlight of our trip. We felt pampered, spoiled and comfortable. Highly recommend this enchanting B&B to everyone. Thank you Berta for making us feel so welcome. Eilene B.

We stayed for 4 nights and this was clearly the highlight of our 3 month trip trough the US. Berta is such a great host and very knowledgable about the city and sights to see in the area. Great location, wonderful setting, superb rooms and excellent breakfasts. We felt like home in this charming place, it doesn´t get any better.

Everything from our beautiful downstairs bedroom to the breathtaking and relaxing gardens and views was extraordinary. The hospitality went far beyond a sincere warm welcome and delicious, fresh gourmet breakfasts. Our inn keepers' knowledge and helpfulness in planning hikes and adventures near and far on the Peninsula made our visit to the area easy and stress-free. Their familiarity with a wide variety of area restaurants and even help with making dining reservations was an unexpected bonus. It's hard to say what were the highlights of our trip...watching the submarines make their way up the Strait of Juan de Fuca, a glorious walk along the Dungeness Spit, wine in the garden, incredible day-hiking, sunsets at the water's edge?... Impossible to choose. We can't wait to return.

Room Tip: For a stay of more than 2 nights, the more expensive (and far larger) downstairs bedroom was well wo...

My wife and I spent three nights here during the Lavender Festival. We had seen the property on previous trips to Sequim and were intrigued. When we arrived intrigue turned to fascination. The converted barn, grounds, garden and location are a delight and the hosts are so gracious. Coming to Sequim for the festival is almost an annual event and this was our best experience yet. We have always liked the general location on a bluff overlooking the Dungeness Spit. The location and property are a photographer's delight. I have many great memories saved in photos from the trip. Everything from young eagles, the host's darling dogs, the gardens and a remarkable sunrise.
We definitely plan to go back and may not wait for the festival to come around again.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms open onto the great room with great water view. The main floor room we stayed in was...

Spent 2 nights at the Dungeness Barn B&B and what a wonderful place. Very cozy rooms and the space the guests are offered to use is amazing. Beautiful garden area as well as a cozy great room that over looks the bay and view of Victoria in the distance.
Breakfasts were delicious, dungeness crab omlet one morning all with fresh local veggies. Fantastic. Guests are also able to borrow the kayaks and kayak in the bay. Very accomodating.

Room Tip: Both rooms very large, king size beds, can't go wrong with either option

My daughter and 10 month old grandson joined me for a mother-daughter week-end on the Olympic Peninsula. Well, perhaps it was a ploy to get to see my grandson. It was difficult to find a B&B that would accept children, but I am so glad that search led us to the Dungeness Barn House. Our hostess was a delight, the accommodations perfect, the view breathtaking, and the gardens captivating. We were in an area of the house where the potentially noisy baby would not disturb the other guests. Everyone was made comfortable. Oh, and breakfast was SO good. I can't recommend it highly enough.

We stayed here on our way back from a trip to Forks with two teenagers and another couple. Great location, right across from the beach. Beautiful gardens surround the house and the rooms are extra large. Beds are very comfortable and there is a family room that we all shared to watch movies. Between all of us we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast was delicious and the service was exceptional. We will be back!
