When there are 50 motels in Yakima which offer the same or better facilities for half the price. I booked online based on the statements made on their own website, of which many are "misleading" at best. Suites aren't suites, they are slightly larger rooms. There are no "jetted tubs" in the motel as specified in the room description. The whirlpool in the pool area has its jets set on "limp" mode - there is hardly any forced circulation, and the tanning salon is available only for extra fees.
The 'continental breakfast' has very slim pickings, toast, a crock pot full of oatmeal, coffee, and a few hard boiled eggs.
The four staff members I came in contact with had little or no enthusiasm, and weren't in the last bit "hospitable" in the hospitality industry.
Am I slamming this place? Absolutely not. The place is very tidy, if that's worth paying $50 extra for. And there are free apples at the front desk, maybe one could take $50 worth?
My point is - this motel is out in the middle of nowhere, relatively, with zero amenities, no restaurants nearby, no food service in the motel other than vending machines, and is not a good value for the price.
