I am not sure what to say about this new Hampton near the airport. On one hand it is a brand spanking new hotel. The rooms are near perfect. I really like the new room layout and if I was staying multiple nights it would be the perfect blend of business practicality and relaxing luxury. Really, really nice.
But on the other hand, <begin mild rant> the hotel was built with what I think is the worst possible framework: wood. In my humble opinion, building a hotel with wooden framing makes no sense. Every door slam, every footstep, every rumble echoes through the framework. I am sorry to deliver this rant on a perfectly good hotel but unless you are lucky enough to end up on the top floor of a hotel built of wood framing, you will hear endless noise all night long.</end mild rant>
My primary goal is a good night's sleep and *any* noise can interrupt it. The kids that enjoyed jumping off the bed on the floor above me would not have been even noticeable had the hotel built of concrete. Just sayin'....
That said, if you are NOT an extremely noise sensitive person, this hotel would be perfect. New, clean, well thought out, near restaurants, near the airport. Perfect!
