“Good service in the SeaTac area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Just a short ride to the airport, but noise was not a problem. Hotel has a shuttle that is very convenient for getting around to restaurants, to the light rail system, and back and forth to the airport. We did a lot of short trips, including downtown on the light rail (really slick and easy to use), and seldom did we have a wait of more than 5 minutes for the shuttle service.

We took the light rail system to see a Seahawk's game and found it to be a very fast and easy way to get there and eliminated the inconvenience of parking among other 67,000 fans. Would be great for Mariner's games, too.

Management and staff were very friendly and informative.

Room had a great jacuzzi and bed was very comfortable. Couldn't ask for more on a stay near SeaTac Airport! Stayed 4 nights starting Nov 11th.

I am glad you were able to make use of our shuttle service to connect to Link Light Rail. You are correct that this provides a great alternative for our guests who are attending Seahawks or Mariners games and don’t want to fight traffic or pay astronomical costs for parking, or for anyone wishing to visit the downtown Seattle area while still lodging close to SeaTac Airport. Please note that only a limited number of our rooms include the Jacuzzi tub and can only be confirmed by selecting that specific room type when booking online, or by contacting the hotel directly. Thank you so much for your comments, and we hope to see you again.

I am staying here for a business trip. The hotel is super convenient to Sea-Tac. I think, if you had a good arm, you might be able to hit an airplane with a rock. Despite the location relative to the airfield, the room (at least my room) was plenty quiet. The check-in experience was fine and parking was good (no charge, but not covered). The smallish room is typical of Fairfield Suites and Marriott quality. The room had a nice fridge and microwave. Spotless as you would expect of Marriott. Beds are comfy. Huge HD TV with lots of channels. Easy WIFI connection. Smallish "closet" area. Bathroom was OK and had some kind on nuclear powered toilets that must be shooting toilet contents somewhere into the mid Pacific Ocean. Lots of good restaurants around, all price ranges (avoid 13 Coins restaurant, though). There is a Safeway a couple miles away, too (on Military). Easy access to I-5 (where Seattle residents spend the bulk of their lives). Free breakfast, but you get what you pay for. They have these little Jimmy Dean sandwiches which are really pretty good. They also have other cold stuff (cereals, yogurt, etc). Since it is a Fairfield, no Manager's reception in the evening. So, if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel that's clean and offers some freebies in the SeaTac area, you should really consider this. If you are looking for a long term stay, there are other Marriott options (Courtyard in Kent WA, Res Inn) that offer more amenities (all at more cost, of course). Bottom line: I would'nt hesitate staying here again!

Room Tip: I stayed on the first floor and could occasionally hear clunking from the second floor.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property, and for your wickedly sharp sense of humor. We in no way encourage our guests to hurl rocks at passing aircraft, but I am glad that you found your room insulated from any noise caused by airport traffic. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to accommodating you again when your travel needs bring you to the Seattle area. Rest assured our toilets will still be ready to handle anything you may throw at them. If you have any additional comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly at the hotel during normal business hours, or somewhere along I-5 outside of those times.

We had a early morning flight, so we checked in the Fairfield the night before our flight. A really good location with just a short ride on their hospitality van to the airport. The hotel will take you to several restaurants if you don't have a car. Nothing special but very convenient at a good price. The breakfast was ok

We have stayed at other Fairfield Inns and once again we're not disaapointed. We stayed several nights at the end of our vacation in order to tour Seattle. The Fairfield offers a free shuttle service to its guest, so that travel on the Light Rail to Seattle and getting to Airport is not a problem. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

This hotel is part of the Marriotte chain of hotels. It has the same standards of cleanleness, hospitality, friendliness just to name a few attributes for this hotel. It is a business hotel, although my husband and i stayed while venturing into Seattle for our stay at this hotel.

Fairfield was great in offering their shuttle service to the Sae Tac Airport to take us to our transit into the cit of Seattle for the day. That evening upon our arrival back to the airport, Fairfield's airport shuttle service picked us up to return back to our hotel. We never used our car at all during our stay. The hotel also offers shuttle service to a few restaurants in the area free of charge making it easy to not rent a car should you be on buisiness for a few short days.

The location is just a few blocks from the rental car return, making this a great location for early morning flights to catch.

Did I mention the continental breakfast? Up to the Marriotte standards of course. A full array of breakfast foods including the breakfast sanwhiches that will keep you full for the morning. I love marriottes breakfasts. I shamefully grab a raisin/cinnamon bagel as I leave the breakfast room for a snack during the day.

The lobby is very large with computers and general greeting area if you are expecting guests. Front desk staff very informative about the area and Seattle with the insider tips. Rooms are typical of the Marriotte chain, just a little smaller.

Thank you so much for your comments. I am glad you made use of our shuttle service to area restaurants, and to catch the Link Light Rail into downtown. I also appreciate your compliments about our breakfast service, and am pleased to inform you that Fairfield Inn will be expanding their breakfast in the coming year to provide even more hot items and variety. We hope you will be able to return to experience it!

The Fairfield Inn at the Seatac Airport is a well appointed hotel. We added to our reservation extra comfy pillows, and they did not disappoint us - it was an extremely comfortable sleep. The room itself was reasonable size, and typical for airport "express" type hotels, the decor seemed a little aged, but everything was in good working order, clean and tidy.

We spent some time in the indoor heated pool/fitness area, and it was decent, clean and a well lit indoor area - the bad thing is that the ceiling above the pool started to leak. The best thing about this hotel is the shuttle service, the front desk was very helpful in pointing out local places to eat, and the shuttle will take you directly there and then back to the hotel. The hotel also featured an awesome complimentary breakfast, lots of fruits, breakfast sandwhiches, yougurt, homemade waffles, you name it.. Overall this hotel was a bit of a pleasant surprise, a good value and excellent stay extremely close to the airport makes up for its dated decor.

Room Tip: Ask for extra pillows!

Thank you for taking the time to review our property, and I appreciate your compliments to our front desk staff and shuttle drivers. We will be closing our pool area for a few days at the end of the month to repair the issue you mentioned, and I hope you will be able to return to see the improvement. Thank you once again!

We stayed for 3 nights at beginning of Sept before flying off to China, then again one night at the end of China trip and before returning home. It is a typical Fairfield, but there is a refrigerator and microwave in each and every room. Sometimes you have to fight to get just a fridge. The best part is that the airport shuttle will take you to local restaurants. That makes it very convenient if you are just flying in and out and do not rent a car. I always prefer Marriott properties as there are few surprises. This time the surprise was good!

I am so glad you appreciated the refrigerator and microwave that we do feature in every room, as well as our complimentary shuttle service to area restaurants. Our front desk staff can also provide you with a list of these restaurants, offer several recommendations, and provide sample menus for many of the options. Thank you for your comments, and we hope to accommodate you again the next time you are in the area.
