“Great for a airport stopover - let down by transfer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

We stayed the night before an onward flight. We arrived tired and made our way to the shuttle stop- we saw one shuttle drive by without stopping then called for another- this time to have the phone put down on us. Eventually a shuttle arrived and we took the 5 minute journey to the hotel. Check in was quick and easy and the rooms and bathrooms I assume have recently been refurbished as they were immaculate - also had very comfortable beds. The bar area was pleasant and breakfast was buffet style with good selection. Shuttle to the airport in the morning was much better with 10 minute wait. Apparently the shuttle runs between airport and hotel every 20 minutes. Wifi was free with good connection speed.

I booked this room using Priority Club points and we were more than happy with our choice. I read about the recent renovations and the positive changes are obvious. Our king room was cozy and comfortable. The new bathroom was modern and very nice.

We arrived a little early and had to wait for our room. Hats off to April working the front desk. She was awesome! For our inconvenience she gave us a few drink vouchers for the bar. The rest of the staff was also friendly and attentive.

The shuttle was right on time in the morning. We dropped off our rental car after checking in so we didn't have to worry about parking. We caught the light rail downtown as the station was across the street.

This Crowne Plaza should start climbing up the tripadvisor rankings. It's a little unfair that the old Holiday Inn reviews count against their ranking.

Overall, very nice stay. The entire place has been remodeled - very modern and classy. I was impressed by the service staff that helped out at the conference I attended. I believe his name was Raj - VERY helpful, kind man. My room was comfortable and nicely appointed. I didn't notice any airport noise at all but there was quite a bit of noise from the hallway - mostly doors closing pretty hard. Wasn't greatly disturbing to me but could be to a light sleeper or with kiddos. Parking was $19 per day but was reduced with my conference attendance. Pretty steep but also not out of line with the other hotels at SeaTac. Overall, nice stay.

This hotel was ok for an airport hotel. Nothing scenic nearby. Typical restaurants on the street (Denny's, McDonalds, etc) It is very close to the airport and very close to the car rentals. The rooms are small compared to other Crown Plaza's we've stayed in. It's recently been remodeled, and though the design is very modern and updated (bathroom design especially is very edgy and chic!) it looked like someone did a poor job of cleaning before calking and painting (i.e. painting over dirty door moldings) then a sloppy job of both in general. We had 4 rooms (2 coming and 2 going from Seattle) and this was true of all of them. If you are coming late in the day I would save yourself a day of car rental and a $20/night parking fee. They do have an excellent shuttle service to pick you up from the airport and in the morning you can take it back to the airport and take the airport shuttle to the car rental place - it takes about 20 minutes total to do all this. Or you can park next door for $10.00/night (rather than the $20 they charge you!). We learned by this experience and took our cars (we had 2) back the night before our flight (since we had to be there at 6:30 a.m. anyway!), took the car rental shuttle to the airport then caught the hotel shuttle back to the room (again, about 20 minutes), so we saved on the way back, but had we done this both coming and going our savings would have been about $270.00 for parking and car rental savings. The beds were comfortable, but don't come up to Hyatt standards IMO, but everyone is different. If you like the Hyatt beds, I'd find a Hyatt hotel. All in all it was an ok hotel for an airport hotel ... but the $20 fee/night to park was ridiculous! If it was a resort, that's one thing, but this isn't close to being a resort or even resort-like!

Room Tip: I wouldn't say there were good or bad rooms. Parking lot views only front and back

Rather than stay at our beloved Hotel Andra in the heart of Seattle, we went with an airport property closer to the convention Clyde wanted to attend.

The Crown Plaza has been recently renovated and features a pleasant lobby and bar area. The drive to town and back is a bit of a long haul, but there's easy access to public transportation. Proximity to the airport, though, makes arrival or departure as easy as it can be.

When the thumpa-thumpa-thumpa bass notes of a late-night quincinera party on the 13th floor had our 12th floor room vibrating like a jackhammer, the staff whisked us to a quieter 3rd floor room with efficiency and grace.
