“Good motel but poor airport shuttle (in evening)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Spacious, well equipped rooms, friendly reception, good price. Parking has to be paid extra.
Many buses stay here.

Shuttle service from the airport (at 8:20 pm) was very poor. After repeated phone calls we had to wait 40 minutes. Another guest waited for more than 1 hour!
Upon making a remark to the shuttle driver he reacted very rude, claiming that he came every 20 minutes (implicitely calling us lyers). A complaint was deposited at hotel reception.

Shuttle service in the early morning (5 am) was fine.

I am sorry to hear that your shuttle experience did not live up to the same expectations as our good hotel. Your concerns will be addressed and we will work on getting our shuttle service above par. I am happy to hear that your overall stay was good. Our rooms are surprisingly big and having a friendly front desk staff truly makes a difference. We hope your shuttle experience does not deter you from staying with us again in the future. I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July.

To our surprise, we arrived at the hotel and were told there was no park and fly in July because of repair work on the roof that required room for cranes in the lot. In fairness to the hotel, I did not know we would be driving down when I made the reservation. There is parking for $9/d at the Ramada next door, $2 more than Red Roof charges but less than the surrounding parking lots.

We are sorry that our Park and Fly program was not available on your recent stay with us. Seattle has a tendency to rain most of the year and the only time we have to give ourselves and our guest a new roof is in the summer time when it is not raining. Unfortunately, the summer time is our busiest and that is when many people utilize the Park and Fly program. We are always striving to provide our guests with superior service and bang for their bucks. Thank you for staying with us and next time the Park and Fly should be open unless we are making some more improvements.

Arrived at Sea-Tac at just after midnight. Called the hotel shuttle, it went directly to the drivers cell phone. He told us 10 minutes, he was there in 8. 5 Minutes to the hotel. Front desk gal was very nice. Had all of our info ready. Check-in took less than 5 minutes. Room was clean, two queen beds for my son and I. Black out curtains. We were right next to the north end of the runway, and yet it was suprisingly quiet. When we checked out, asked for the shuttle back to Sea-Tac to catch the Light rail. Driver told us a 5 minute walk would be quicker. It was! I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay anytime!

When I moved from Texas to Seattle, I stayed at this Red Roof Inn and for being so close to the airport, I was surprised that I couldn't hear the airplanes from my room. This property has a lot of perks for it's low price with the recent renovation that took place in our rooms. The new beds and carpets makes it a more modern look especially with the flat screen TV's and new duvets on our beds. 5 hours is a short visit but I'm glad that you enjoyed it here. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and we look forward to having you as our guest again in the future.

It is obvious this is an older property, but they are keeping it up well. It is clean and comfortable. The cost in relation to location with SeaTac airport is great. They are right by a Master Park so parking isn't a problem if a package is needed. I booked through Hotels.com and the parking fee was buried so didn't know it was $7 a night until checking in; however, the $7 fee is very small in relation to other hotels around the airport. My room was large and clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the air conditioning unit was quiet enough to not bother sleep. Not frills, but worth it.

I'm glad to know that Red Roof Inn was worth the stay. I thought I already responded to your review but I must have missed this one. Sorry about that. Our frills are providing our guests a clean room and great service. We have coffee of course. Seattle would not be Seattle without coffee, that's why we provide coffee makers in all the rooms. We also have irons and ironing boards in every room. Sorry that the parking fee was not easily seen on the website. You are always more than welcome to call the hotel and ask us about any additional fees. Thank you so much for everything and be sure to stop by when you are in Seattle.

Their airport shuttle says Holiday Inn on it in bigger writing than Red Roof Inn; just call hotel to ask where to wait for it. Hotel is a few blocks from the airport train station. I ordered Thai food next door in the Ramada inn's restaurant and still think about how tasty it was. The only other restaurant in walking distance is Denny's. Sink was outside bathroom which is no problem. Coffee available all day in lobby. I felt safe and room was clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. It's a distance away from downtown and Space Needle, but it is much more affordable than hotels in that area. I was happy with top floor facing back which had a view of someone's large backyard. Quiet room.

Having a free 24hr shuttle service to the airport and back is very important even though we are close to the airport within walking distance; it is Seattle after all so you don't want to walk when it's raining. The staffs here are very safety conscious because we want all of our guests to feel the same as you did during your stay which was "safe". We also want you to feel important and happy here as well and I hope that we accomplished that. We are reasonably priced for being recently renovated which is great because you now have extra spending money. Thank you for staying with us and have a happy 4th of July.

We arrived back in Seattle one night early and wanted to check in a night earlier. We had made our original reservation through Expedia so Brianna moved heaven and earth to check us in and make arrangements so as not to have to move rooms for the second night. The hotel was clean, comfortable, provided an airport shuttle, and was walkable to the light rail station. All of the staff we dealt with were courteous and helpful. Coffee is provided in the rooms and lobby, but no breakfast.

Room Tip: We had a nice view of the park across the street from the 4th floor.

Wow! Brianna will be extremely happy when she reads this review. I am so glad that Brianna and the rest of our staff made your stay with us a memorable one. We've always had a great staff and the recent renovation to our rooms (new beds and carpet) was like adding whip cream and cherry onto the Sundae. Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and recognizing our staffs for their hard work.

We stayed here 3 nights. Our choice was based on low price + location + reviews. The room was very comfortable. The facility showed signs of partial, but incomplete, renovation. For example the fixtures seems to be new, yet there were mildew stains around the tub and the paint was chipping. The biggest snag was parking. There apparently aren't enough spaces to accommodate all the rooms, so when the lot fills, they send you to MasterPark across the street. There the valet parks your car. But to retrieve it, you need to get a voucher from the desk at the hotel, then walk to MasterPark. The MasterPark operation itself is very nice, but the inconvenience adds another 10-15 minutes to your getaway time.

I wish we had more parking spaces so that none of our guest would be inconvenienced by walking across the street to park. Luckily, Masterpark is literally across the street and they have plenty of parking spaces for us to share with them. The staff understands that some of our guests are on a time crunch so they make every effort to call Masterpark to let them know who will be coming over to pick up their vehicle so that it can be ready when they get there. The renovation came out very well and the new beds and carpets make a huge difference in the room. We are sorry to hear about your bathroom. We do have a program where our maintenance goes into every room within a time frame. I will share your feedback with him and make sure that we are keeping our rooms in top condition especially with our new renovations. Thank you and we hope that your experience has not deterred you from staying with us again in the future.
