Cedarbrook is one of those best kept secrets in the SeaTac area. Formerly the conference center for WAMU, it is now owned by the Wright family - the folks who own the Space Needle.
Only a mile or so from SeaTac airport, Cedarbrook offers a tranquil, upscale enviornment - you would never suspect you are near an airport. The sleeping rooms are large and comfortable. The conference space is very professional and comes in a variety of options for space - from an auditorium to small "dens".
The food is fantastic and there is lots of it. The new bistro resturant is in front of the fireplace and is a nice intimate place for dinner and features fresh northwest foods. Breakfast and Lunch are served in their larger space and includes well stocked buffets. Living rooms in the sleeping room area feature a kitchette with a fridge stocked with water, yogurt, string cheese, etc. and a freezer full of individual sized hagen-das.
Probably the best thing about the place, though, is the staff, which are welcoming, professional and wonderful to work with.
There is also a small bar and a nice fitness room.
Obviously, I can't say enough nice things about this place. We use them often for our trainings, but it is also a nice place to stay for someone visiting the area for fun.
