“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the provided shampoo made my hair smell lovely, and the a/c put the room at a comfortable temperature. It was quiet in the room despite being right across the street from the airport. 13 Coins is right next door, so if you need to have a steak or a salmon fillet in the middle of the night you are totally covered. My only quibble is that they almost had us stay elsewhere due to overbooking. We had prepaid for the room five months ago, so that would have made me pretty upset. I did not think that the furnishings were dated or worn. It's just a nice business class hotel.

First of all, the staff was great. They were very friendly which made up a little for the following (first on my part) review.
We stayed there on 7/27/14 in a King suite facing the "lake".
The first issue was door service - we had a lot of suitcases coming back from a 2 week trip and there was no one when we drove up to help us. It appears that the person who does that also is the diver for the shuttle. That was our first indication that it appears they are extremely short staffed.
Then the room. It faces a small pond, the other side of which is a trailer park. Oh, and then from the 5th floor looking down, there is that rusty roof from another section of the building (I think).
The air was of course off and it took a few hours to get the air circulating. Especially to the bathroom which doesnt have a fan. It has a vent for the air, but no breeze coming from there.
So we went downstairs to eat after being warm and the sun was beaming into the restaurant from the full windows. Although it looks nice, there are NO shades! it's hot and bright. Another couple came in and wanted a shady place as well. It was pretty empty. Service here was OK, nothing great. Person had a hard time with english it seemed and we only ordered drinks and a salad. We stopped at the bar after, the bartender was excellent.

SO, short staffed, bearable, but I would probably try another hotel next time. Not very customer oriented - feels to me like poor management.

Room Tip: Convenience is about it. Right across from the airport, I would probably look for another.

First an admission: as someone having Gold status with Marriott, and many years of having either Silver or Gold status with Hilton, and as a great fan of the Kimpton hotels, I rarely stay at other chains. Needing a room at SeaTac before an early flight out in late July, I was surprised both by the few vacancies and the exorbitant prices at our usual airport hotels on the night we needed.
Almost in desperation, I booked a room at the Radisson through Expedia (the Radisson website showed availability only for a room with a double bed) and hoped for the best, despite some less than positive reviews.

Arriving late the night before our early flight, we were delighted by what we found: a very friendly and helpful desk clerk who offered us a room with a king bed, a lovely, quiet room (apparently recently refurbished) with a comfortable bed, crisp linens, very clean bathroom, a punctual wake-up call at 5:30am and - best of all - a short, easy walk across the street to SeaTac the next morning. No need to sit in lobby waiting for the shuttle, or climbing over other passengers to find a seat in a cramped van: just a short stroll to the airport, entering at the international gates, then walking a short distance within the terminal to the ticketing lines where we checked our bags: no more than 10-15 minutes from leaving the hotel and reaching the check-in counter.

It wasn't cheap, but the cost was in line with other, better known and better rated airport hotels. We go to Seattle 2-3 times a year and we're thinking that this will be our SeaTac hotel on future visits.

I had a room that didn't have several broken items (shower curtain, lamps, furniture), smelled like smoke (I had an obstinately *Non-Smoking* room, and the air conditioner did not work and dripped condensation into the middle of the floor for me to step on in my stocking feet, so I could have a wet sock during a 4 hour plane ride.

Very close hotel within walking distance from the Airport. The Hotel Staff was very friendly upon check-in, The rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfortable and were definetly on the level of a 5 star bed. They have a small indoor pool, didnt go in the water but just walked in the area to check it out, same with the gym area. They have free internet computers in the lobby near the elevators, The surrounding area isnt many choices to eat, there is a 24 hour restaraunt next door called " 13 Coins" there are two "Denny's" and a "Jack in the box" within walking disatance, also a steakhouse called "Spencers in a nearby Hilton Hotel . The ligh Link Rail system is also withing walking distance and the train takes you right to the center of downtown or to both stadiums which was very helpful for us.. There is also a hotel bar in the lobby I forgot the bartenders name but he was very down to earth and made sure to give us the rundown on things to do while we were in Seattle. There is also a Restaraunt in the Lobby of the hotel, We had burgers one night and they were pretty good,We also tried the breakfast buffet in the morning but wasent impressed for $15.95 it was Scrambled/ powdered eggs, Bagon, Sausage, Potatoes and Waffles for the hot food, then they had Yogurt, Cold cereal, Bread and Muffins and various juices. They didnt have no Pancakes, French Toast, Bananas, Oatmeal or an Omlette station.it wasent terrible but it wasent great either.. I would definetly recommend this hotel to anyone staying near Sea-Tac airport.

Tried to call room service and got no answer. Called the front desk and was told to call back. Apparently the front desk chastised the room service operator, because she could have not been more rude when she finally answered. We had to beg for details on the types of red wines and white wines they carried. Finally, we gave up, hung up to stop the rude treatment, and went down the street to buy wine from a gas station. You have many options for hotels at SeaTac. Don't make the mistake of staying here!

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the disappointing service that you received from our staff with regards to your room service order. Our team works hard to make sure our guests are comfortable and receive our best “Yes I Can!” service and the experience that you mentioned is not a normal or acceptable experience by our standards. We hope you will give us a chance to better serve you in the future.

The Pluses about this hotel are its location-within easy walking distance from the SeaTac airport baggage claim, the 13 Coins restaurant is right next door and the staff is just terrific. We were going on a cruise and the shuttle service took us right to Pier 66 plus picked us up when we returned. It is called Seattle Cruise-very affordable and efficient-a fraction of what the cruise line was going to charge. The Minuses are, two times in a row, we were put into a room that did not have a microwave or mini-fridge. (You have to ask for it?) The signage points to vending machines (next to the ice machine) that don't exist (you have to go to an alcove next to the front desk. In our case, that was six floors down.) The rooms are long in the tooth and need help. The first time we stayed there, they had Select Comfort beds. No longer. With just a little attemtion, to detail, this could be a first-class hotel. Check out the other reviews. When is the management going to wake up?

Room Tip: Be sure and ask if your room has a fridge and microwave. Many do not.
