I went on one of the San Juan Safari whale watching trips about 5 years ago (2003). The entire crew was so knowledgeable and great. We had a lovely time. When we weren't busy watching the magnificent whales and other animals, the crew was there to show us pictures and share facts on the whales and their habitat. They were completely open to my mom and me asking a ton of questions. Then last year my husband and I on went on another whale watching trip with another company--and they were NOTHING compared to San Juan Safaris. We went back to San Juan Safaris this past June for our one-year anniversary and felt the same passion and superior customer service I felt 5 years ago. They now have customers for life. I really recommend this tour as whales are increasingly rare. This company knows their info and really makes you feel at home.

The tour was excellent. Actually, I went out on five tours over four days. We saw Orcas all five trips. I was impressed with the captains' and naturalists knowledge of the area and whales. But, what impressed me most was their respect for the animals.

I have taken thousands of whale photos from Maui to Gloucester. The team at San Juan Safaris is one of the best I have met.

Both boats are excelent platforms for viewing and photographing orcas and other wildlife. The bigger boat is very comfortable and less expensive. So, if cost and comfort are important go big.

Whale watching and cetaceans photography is my major passion. I have done it in many countries and with many companies.
San Juan Safari is a very good company, nice people all around, friendly, knowledgeable, very professional and experienced.
The guides knowledge and passion is outstanding, it is a real experience, you will take something back to your home after a trip with them.

We had a great trip, some amazing whale watching which we understand to have been very unusual . We took The Whale Plane Pkg which Colleen spent quite a bit of time putting together for us as it was very last minute. The sea plane ride up was amazing and would be worth the price alone. But the orcas put the icing on our romantic week end. We saw so many orcas. The naturalists said it was a hair shy of a true 'super pod' greeting ceremony.
We saw so many other wildlife animals. Our naturalists Sarah and Megan ( I think) knew so much about the whales and animals. I would reccomend anyone to go on this tour. The highlight of a vacation.
