“Great food and people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

I have visited the Ritzville roadhouse thrice now and enjoyed their Super dip and Philly sandwiches. Staff is friendly and restaurant has been thoroughly renovated it seems compared to the absolutely disgusting Perkins ghat used to be here.

Downside is if you are looking for Denny's, Shari's or Perkins, this is more gourmet. Their winter menu seems limited.

“Don't put on the Ritz”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

The wife and I stopped here a few weeks ago while on our way to Spokane. It looked like they fixed up the old Perkins, and we thought we would give it a try. The folks were quite nice, and we were seated very quickly. Getting served seemed to be a little greater stretch for these folks, and it took almost 15 minutes to put our orders in. Thankfully, we weren't in a hurry. I ordered a full rack of beef ribs, and the wife got a NY strip steak. We waited another 15 minutes, while it seemed everyone in town got served and was on their way. The ribs were way overdone, had BBQ sauce slathered on the back side (where it just served to make a mess without adding to the taste, and they were dry and not very tasty. Similarly, the wife's steak was over done, was a bit tough, and was very hard to cut even. The sides were very undistinguished, except for her baked potato. Our verdict on the meal was that it was not well done and left a lot to be desired. The portions were fairly generous, and the cost wasn't too bad, but it really didn't make up for the mediocre cooking.
I would not recommend this place for dinner, though other meals may be good. The chef was either very new and very inexperienced, or having a very bad day. We won't stop again, even though we pass through Ritzville very regularly, or at least stop here. Not bad people, but not worth the hassle and poor cooking for our money's worth.

Excellent place with new & delicious menu thanks to Chef Chris. Chef has added unique items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I love the tasty soups & big sandwiches. The white chicken chili is AWESOME!!

“Sarah Smiled”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Stopped by "The Ritz Roadhouse" on a whim... traveling across three states and it was past my mealtime.

The server got me seated and served hot coffee within three minutes of walking in... My order was in to the cook "the daily special"

Food was out in good time (BIG omlette) and hot...

Service was good, food as well... altogether a pleasant experience in a clean and fresh smelling restaurant.

“New ownership and menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

This used to be a Perkins which was worse than bad.
Average BBQ is on the pricy side.
Service excellent.
Not many eatery choices in Ritzville so this just might be the best option.
