Was here on business. Decided to stay a few extra days to familiarize myself with the area. Found the staff to be courteous and the accommodations acceptable. I thought the room (Rm 233) remained pretty cold, even with the heat all the way up, but was on the road a lot so didn't really care. I took the comforter from the other bed and was toasty. The location is great, right by the Columbia river; highly recommended, as you can walk for miles along the river's edge. I would definitely stay there again.

I had a beautiful room overlooking the courtyard area and the Columbia. I loved the sweeping views if the river and the service at breakfast was great. I brought my 2 dogs and had a great time walking the river path.

The room appeared not to have been recently cleaned upon our arrival and I was able to "dust" with a kleenex on sink counter and dest and bedside table and get significant dust/dirt....Our room was NOT serviced the next day and we came back to un-made beds and dirty/wet towels on the floor; the desk person brought up towels

I consider Hanford House my home in Richland, a very charming hotel next to the Columbia River, I arrived a day ahead of our meeting and avoided the crowd, thus check in was fast. I love staying here, the environment is relaxing and warm. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Rooms are well appointed, for this stay my room was on the ground floor facing the grounds of the hotel. I prefer staying in a room near the lobby for two reasons: first is to avoid the long walk to the room and to the restaurant for breakfast, and second, it is nearer the laundry area on the second floor.

We came to this hotel to relax after the death of a loved one. This hotel is usually that type of place....nice river view, quiet rooms, etc. It all went wrong when we returned from dinner on Sat.night and there was absolutely no place to park in the hotel parking lot. We had to park next door in the restaurant parking lot with hopes that our car wouldn't be towed. We then discovered there was a HUGE party at the hotel for Halloween. We ended up having to call the front desk around midnight to complain about all the noise. Long story short, we were pretty unhappy that our relaxing weekend went really wrong! We have stayed at this hotel enough that we are a member of their R&R club....that didn't seem to matter. We will probably not be back!!

The heating system was being remodelled so no heat in my room and it kind of smelled. But the bed was comfy and the room was clean, so not bad. I had a street view, but the river side would be the best view if you had a choice.
