“The place to go if you want to see it before it is cooked.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

I personally like places that are a bit rustic and give you salted peanuts to shell as a free appetizer. This food was very good and there was a nice variety. The "butcher shop" area displays of the steaks was a bonus and unusual. Definitely worth a try.

“A Little Bit of Texas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014 via mobile

I am a Texan transplanted to Washington. Jimmy Macs is my favorite fun place to go. Laid back country kind of atmosphere. Country music. The building does look like a mish mash of stuff from the outside, but it's all part of the plan. I meet friends for lunch here several times a year. The food is great! Love the crabcakes, sweet potato fries, and the roasted Anaheim pepper burger. The rolls are excellent. Overall, a terrific place to go after work to kick back or to take the family out. Feels like home!

“The best little roadhouse in Washington”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Jimmy Mac's has been around for many years and has maintained it's excellent reputation for great steaks and superb crab cakes ever since it opened. Armadillo Ale, specially brewed by a local brewery for Jimmy Mac's, accompanied by bowls of free peanuts, shells on the floor, makes the perfect appetizer and the fresh-baked rolls with their wonderful, slightly sweet flavor make the perfect accompaniment for your meal.

Service is always warm and friendly, from greeter at the front desk to the hard-working waiters and kitchen helpers. Noise level is high but it's because of happy diners -- families with kids, couples, even large parties on occasion.

My wife and I eat at Jimmy Mac's several times a year, most recently on New Years Eve, and have never been disappointed.

“Great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

My first time at Jimmy Mac's. Outstanding customer service, great food, and fun atmosphere. I couldn't get used to throwing the peanut shells on the floor but my family had fun! Best thing was that we could carry on a conversation without having to shout over the music or other conversations! Lots of different choices for dinner and I loved the baby back ribs!

“Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse is a great place for a STEAK...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We were in the Renton area for training. We visited a number of restaurants after class, and this was one of the better one. Would I eat there again, yes. I would also bring my wife and kids..
