Description: Renton’s Finest Foods Since 1901! * Steakhouse voted #1 Western WA in 2010 * Affordable high quality menu *Historic Landmark in Renton The building in which the Melrose Grill resides was established in 1901 and has served as a tavern since the days of the horse and buggy. It also operated as a pool hall, soda shop and card room during Prohibition. Recently restored, Melrose Grill kept its historic roots with the original mirror-backed bar with its rich, dark woods. The walls showcase vintage photos that highlight the transitions this grand building has gone through. With wainscoting on the walls, low-slung lamps and high ceilings the space feels as open as the West was when it was built. The Food and Service at Melrose Grill will amaze and delight your senses. We work hard to provide our customers with the finest foods available, and prepare them in a way that will tame even most particular palate. Voted #1 Steakhouse in Western WA by King 5 & Evening Ma.

Melrose Grill is the South Ends answer to El Goucho or John Howie. This tiny little hole in the wall is one of our family favorites. The steaks are perfectly prepared. The sides are hearty and delicious. They create seasonal delicacies that never disappoint. The service is top notch. The prices, while high, are not unreasonable for the quality that is presented.
Keep in mind that they no longer take reservations and that everyone in your party must be present to be seated. Those little inconveniences will be long forgotten AFTER dinner!

“Gourmet Restaurant in an historic vintage location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

The food was incredible. Seasonings were delightful and everything tasted very special! The steaks are absolute perfection and the Parmesan potatoes are crisp and tasty. The salads are crunchy and house dressing is a special treat. The drinks are strong and flavorful, and save room for their special home made desserts! Be there when they open for dinner, or you will wait in line for a table. (The line goes pretty quickly on a good night). My favorite place for a tender, rich and flavorful fillet mignon!

“Excellent steaks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

This beautiful place is highlighted by their antique bar, history and amazing steaks! No reservations means come early or wait.....no appetizers either. I would not recommend kids as it is very dark and pretty expensive - but worth the splurge

“If want a great Steak, Melrose is it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

Went in for dinner on a business meal and ended up liking it so much, we went back a week later for friends night out! Steaks are awesome! Small place so reservations are probably a must on weekends. Well worth the wait!
