Excellent business travel setup:

• high speed wifi
• fitness/outdoor hot-tub
• breakfast
• printer
• washer/dryer
near downtown but far enough to stay focused

AND...genuinely great service (example: Megan at the front desk)

We stayed at this hotel for one night at both ends of a recent vacation, one night was a weekend and one was a weekday. The weekend night was quite bit less expensive, and the hotel did seem less busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very nice and there was enough food and choices that we were well fed for the morning. I have to say the staff went above and beyond because I left my digital camera charger plugged into the wall socket and didn't remember till I was at the airport waiting for my flight home. They were super nice and mailed the charger to my home. The hotel is a little hard to find; the sign blends in well and is hard to see if you are driving south. Look for the sign for the neighboring Hilton Garden Inn.

We just spent 5 days at the Larkspur Renton and had a great stay from beginning to end. The staff (from housekeeping on up) are truly dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and go out of their way to ensure your comfort and needs are their #1 priority! The rooms are spacious, very clean and well appointed; the grounds and building are well groomed and maintained. Location is great - easy drive into Seattle and close to a large shopping mall and restaurants. Loved having the convenience of an equipped kitchen and the ability of having breakfast and coffee in the room instead of getting dressed to go down to the lobby breakfast room. I rely heavily on TripAdvisor reviews when I travel and they are "right on" with rating this as the #1 hotel in Renton. I will NOT hesitate to stay here in the future (in spite of the fact that our usual choice of Marriott is in the same parking lot) and gladly recommend that you do the same. Well done Larkspur Renton - you have a wonderful staff who truly like their jobs and a great hotel!

Incredibly-engaged staff make this travelers' hotel stand out from the rest. The Larkspur is not right by the airport, but don't be put off by this. By staying a little further away you are closer to several decent dinner options, and their very-responsive shuttle service gets you to and from the airport more quickly than several of the hotels right across from the airport. (I have stayed at many of them.) The rooms themselves are very nice and the free breakfast has many options, high-quality coffee, and a pleasant breakfast room. They also offer a "park-and-fly" option that allows you to park your car in their safe, well-lit parking lot.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a full kitchen.

We booked a stay, park and fly package so we could park the car at the hotel while we were away. when we got to the hotel, at about 8:30, there was only one person at the front desk and there was about 5 people waiting, i think there was another group that was looking at rooms? and the phone was ringing off the hook. it sounded like the reservation system was overbooking rooms or magically filling them with mystery guests.
we waited for about 15 minutes, but we had to check in so we could park and take the shuttle to the airport for our 10:30 flight, so i asked if we could just get a pass for parking and hop on the shuttle. the front desk girl (who was brand new, which we found out from the other guests waiting) did not know where the passes were and then told us that the shuttle was done for the night. its not a 24 hour shuttle, so if you're going on a redeye you should call the hotel to see what time the shuttle runs until. in our case, i think the driver had to leave early that night so the front desk girl did call a cab for us and gave us a voucher to pay for it. but on our way back we had to pay for our own cab ($12) because we were arriving at about 10:30pm. i think the shuttle runs until 10.
The hotel was clean, rooms were large and spacious with a kitchen and separate bedroom with a nice comfortable king bed. the continental breakfast was very convenient and was kept full at all times. check out was fast and there was plenty of friendly staff in the morning. i will give larkspur landing another try on our next trip and hope the initial first impression at arrival will be a different one. I really did feel bad for the new employee who we checked in with. all in all, we had a nice stay.

Everytime I travel to the Seattle area on business I stay at the Larkspur Landing in Renton WA. The hotel is in a great location and very centrally located for travel south to Puyallup/Tacoma as well as north to Bellevue/Kirkland. The grounds and building are beautiful and well cared for. The staff is very friendly and they accomodating. The rooms are decorated in the Arts & Crafts style (very nice). They have a full size refrigerator and a nice kitchen area. This is great for people staying more than a couple of nights. Hotel is also close to the Mall/Cheescake Factory and other good restaurants. Great place!

This comfortable, all suite hotel is located in a pleasant office park setting south of Seattle. The rooms are well-furnished, clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast, internet access, and parking are included in the rate. The price is comparable or less than that for a standard room in one of the major chains. We have stayed many different places in the south Seattle area and this is the best choice
