Stayed at the Larkspur Landing in Renton for one night prior to a conference in Renton. This property is "off the beaten' path a bit" but none-the-less an above average 3 star property. It is not marked well from the road, but is directly next door to the Hilton Garden Inn Renton. Great parking area, well lit and safe. I did not select the property, but was pleased it was selected. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Select Renton in the past for the same conference, and this place is worlds better than that property.
Check in was efficient and painless. This is an "all suite-full kitchen" hotel. Was assigned a studio suite on the first floor at the end of the hallway (102). This room is directly next door to the spa and gym (small, but funtional). I was not disturbed by people using the facility. They have I believe three higher/larger levels of rooms from what I had, but for one or two people this room was more than adequate.
The Room was clean and the bed was fantastic. Featherborne bed, with tons of pillows. TV is normal 27 inch tube, and located odly to the right of the bed, but no worries. Work station and lounge chair at end of bed and kitchen with full fridge/freezer, Micro, sink, dishes, glasses, etc directly inside door. Complimentary granolla bar, popcorn, bottle of water, coffee all a bonus. Bathroom was small, but functional. Great shower head with ample warm water.
This property would be great for extended stays if you need a place with a kitchen. Also provided weeknight evening reception and daily morning breakfast in the main lobby area. Good stuff all around.
Only complaint was the folks directly above me, who seemed to be up until 3 am, dropping things, walking around etc. Can't control that but it did keep me awake for a while.
This hotel provides airport shuttle service (5+miles to SEA). Not sure at its frequency, or if you need to call to have the shuttle come get you. If you are looking for a property with quick shuttle service that rolls through all the time, I don't think this is the place. And don't be fooled. This place is not across the street from the airport. It's 5 + miles, and probably at least a 15+ minute shuttle ride to and from. I would not use it as an airport hotel, but for anything else in the area a great option.
Not a ton of eating options, unless you have a vehicle, although I believe they have complimentary shuttle service (but then again you have to wait for that person to be around to pick you up, and if they are on a run to the airport, that could be a while).
All in all a very good 3 star property. I am looking forward to staying at the Larkspur again.
