“A+++Best Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

I have stayed at Marriott Hotels but this one is the BEST ever due to the people who work there.
We had two rooms and the staff were very helpful. They truly went above and beyond.
My son wanted to play with the truck he purchased on the way there and it was screwed into the display box. They had two maintenance men working on this until the correct tool was found to free the truck from the display plastic. This was but one example of how accommodating the staff are. We felt cared for and cared about. They will have my loyalty for life now. Thanks to Shan W. and the maintenance and others.

Room Tip: Stay on the 6th or 7th floor.

When Cavalia, the horse spectacular, was in Redmond last winter, we needed to have dinner prior to the show. Popular Redmond restaurants were were full and we didn't know the area. We happened upon the Marriott Town Center thinking of a casual coffee shop. There was none. Instead we ended up at Sear.
It proved to be an excellent choice.

I chose wild fresh salmon and he chose prime rib. Both were prepared to order and delicious. Bread served with our meal was scrumptious. Sear is a modern attractive steakhouse reminiscent of Japanese style in it's elegant simplicity. Service was slow, but once our food arrived we were more than satisfied. Though quite expensive I thought it was well worth it... he agreed and paid.

Had to stay here on a business trip. My husband and I were given a room with two double beds and they were the WORST BEDS we have EVER slept in and we have traveled all over the world in our 57 years. The bathroom had long black hair everywhere and the carpet was FILTHY. When we complained we were told that they couldn't do anything because they are booked through the end of August. Needless to say, we won't stay here again. The little town center is quite nice but everything closes at 8:30. Coffee at Tully's is great.

I am staying here for work and I am disappointed.

Pros:

Location: The location is the main feature of the hotel. It is in downtown Redmond close to shops and restaurants. Take care though - this is a suburb - very little activity after 9 or 10pm. Also unlike a creal city, it is easy for everybody to get to downtown Redmond anyway since there is a lot of parking and traffic is easy (but not for you ... see below).

Staff: The staff is professional.

Rooms: The beds are comfortable and the rooms are large.

Cons:

1. Very pricey: Expect to pay 30$ a day extra for parking and internet:

1.a You have to pay 15$ extra for wireless interent (which works fine).

1.b You have to pay at least 16$ for parking. Overnight parking is **not allowed anywhere in downtown Redmond** so you will have to pay the extra 16$! (even if the streets around the hotel and the parking lots are all empty).

2. Extremely Noisy: Woke up at 5am to the sound of garbage being collected. Later various trucks ensured I did not go back to sleep. This is not what I expected from such an expensive hotel. Why are there no double panes windows? (note: I am staying at the 3rd floor - perhaps higher floors are better).

3. No Fridge in the room.

4. Breakfast is not included.

Summary: I am supposed to stay here for two weeks. Looking to move to a different hotel as soon as possible.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room in the higher floors. If you want a fridge in your room ask in advance. My rate...

Stayed there for a conference, so the rates were pretty good. The room was a nice size and clean. The extra charge for wireless access in the room - 14.95/night is ridiculous, plus the fact that breakfast wasn't included. On the other hand, the proximity to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping was excellent. The staff was helpful in recommending good local places to visit, as well as a few good pubs and restaurants.

Rates are high, but you get the same flimsy towels you get in the less expensive Marriott’s. As a platinum member I am used to superb treatment but at this Marriott they don't acknowledge your status. The rooms are large, and the desks are great for working, but I had to go to the front desk three times to have what appeared to be bloody fingerprints cleaned off my curtains. I am not so thrilled with this hotel.

This hotel, while a little bit of a drive from the Seattle airport, is a really nice place to stay. It is in a great area with lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is really nice and the staff is amazingly helpful. They are expanding so there is a little bit of construction going on but it in no way interferes with the majority of the hotel.
