4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2011

The title says it all. Free breakfast in the morning too with a good variety of food and drinks. On Tuesday night they had drinks and apps for free too. I have no complaints.

I'm a frequent visitor to the Redmond area, and decided to try the Silver Cloud again based on recent reviews. I can heartily recommend the hotel as having an updated and renewed atmosphere. Nice facilities and service, local shuttle, clean rooms. The included breakfast buffet now has a couple hot items (although some variety over days would be nice) as well as a nice selection of continental items. Unfortunately, the "adopted" cat has passed away, so it's lost a bit of its character, but it's an overall solid value, especially if you have business in the Redmond area.

WE arrived late on the Friday and had no problems checking in. The next day the lobby was full as the Senior Open was been played. The Continental breakfast was Awesome and there was plenty of food for everyone. We were about 15 to 20 minutes out of Seattle which was fine with us and had no problem with hitting our exits. The beds were great and the pool kept the kids busy. I would definately stay here again

The Silver Cloud Inn in Redmond is a perfectly average place to stay on a business trip. Not much sets it apart from the competition other than its proximity to the Microsoft campus. Rooms are spacious and include the basic refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and TV. Free high-speed internet connectivity is included and seems to be reliable and actually reasonably fast. Water pressure from the shower was good.

Staff seemed friendly and helpful during my stay. A basic build-your-own breakfast is included and seemed adequate. A couple of bowls looked like they could have used a second trip through the dishwasher before being set out.

My biggest complaint was the hall noise coming through or under the door. I expected better sound insulation in this price range. The other issue was that the bed and pillows were not very comfortable in my opinion, so it was a rough night's sleep. Finally, the A/C unit in the room was a bit noisy, which didn't make it any easier.

I stayed at this hotel last night as they were doing paving in my subdivision and I couldn't drive on the road to my house for 24 hours. I picked this hotel as it was the cheapest in the area with decent reviews close to my work. As it is a three star hotel I wasn't expecting very much, and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and size of my room. The lobby was also good sized and very clean, and the free breakfast was a fairly good selection for a hotel contienential breakfast.

The only negative (and it's not huge at all) is the front desk clerk annoyed me when I was checking in...I drive a high end luxury car and asked about patrols in the parking lot at night, and her response was "this is a very safe area". Well yes, I am aware but that wasn't my question....but overall she was polite and courteous, just a little annoying that she tried to sell me on the high end location. Crime occurs everywhere! She did indicate after I advised I knew it was a safe area that they did circle the parking lot throughout the night.

I would definitely stay again if I needed a cheaper room in the area, and would recommend to relatives or coworkers.

Just returned from a family group, ages 9-79, staying Fri/Sat night. Our destination on Sat was a memorial and family reunion in Snohomish. 18 of us stayed here and it was a perfect choice--good weekend rate, indoor pool, 42 in TV, free breakfast w/DIY waffles plus plenty more choices. The area is loaded with restaurants, every kind of store and most within walking distance Right off freeway 520 which connected to 405 north and off there to Snohomish (MapQuest had it right to the cemetary) in about 35-40 minutes. Also allowed easy access to nostalgic tour to old hometowns of Snoqualmie (the Falls, too) and North Bend as well as easy access, again on 520, into Seattle right to UW area. The location, facilities and staff couldn't have been better. Oh yes, apparently Microsoft is really closeby, too, for those on business.

I had a two day meeting with a large software company located in Redmond. This hotel was 5 minutes away and reasonably priced. The hotel itself is a bit odd on the inside - feels like an older hotel to me - but the feel recent makeover got me past that. My room was large and well appointed. Free internet. Free parking. Free breakfast. There is a Mexican restaurant, a Wendys and a market/liqueur store right behind the hotel if you need a snack. Additional restaurants and shopping are minutes away. There was a 40" flat screen tv in my room and the business center is free too so you can print a boarding pass if you need to. All things considered - great place to stay if you have local business.
