“Excellent food in a warm and friendly atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

We came here for lunch, tired and hungry after a long hike. Our friendly server, the rustic decor and beautiful foliage outside the large picture windows immediately made us feel at ease. The table tops are made from tree trunks, and the lodge type atmosphere is the perfect complement to the woods. We shared onion rings, a burger and a salad. All were delicious and so filling that we had no room to sample the desserts.

“Awesome Building and Interior, Weak Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Service was really slow on the day we went; there weren't many people in there, but it looked like there was going to be an event in the back room later. We ordered pretty simple meals (hamburgers, fries, fish and chips), but they took a really long time to get to us. The portions are small for what you pay and the food quality is pretty low as well. Had one of the greasiest sandwiches ever the first time we tried to eat there after it reopened and the fries weren't very good. This time, we didn't feel too great after our burgers. For those prices, they really need to step up the quality of the food. Our server was a sweetie though, super friendly and the interior is always worth checking out.

“Good food in a great log building”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

I just had lunch there today. Reuben sandwich came with piles of great corned beef and all the trimmings. The atmosphere in this historic log building is pure Northwest. A must when in Quilcene.

“beautiful setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

the timber house restaurant is wonderful..the service is great and what can i say about the surroundings, very beautiful...the food was good, not excellent but to be honest its so far away for us to eat there we do not go that often to compare meals...the panfried oysters, that came as a side with the salad and it was very sparse on the oysters part, mostly just tiny deep-fried pieces... i would surely return. check out the lounge area. so cozy, you feel like its just you and your date...wish i lived closer to go more often...(you need to update your web site. all the sights have the wrong telephone number. it was hard to locate...)

“Great Food! Great Service! worth the Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

My husband and I have gone to the Olympic Timberhouse a few times and have never had a complaint about anything that we had to eat.
I've had the pork chops, also the shrimp, while my husband had the pasta with seafood. We both really enjoyed our meals each time we have gone there!
Some may think the prices are high, but you are getting a quality meal for what you are paying.
The price of the steaks are slightly higher than what you would pay at a "chain" steakhouse.
I would recommend giving it a try if you are on the Olympic Peninsula! Great place for a nice quiet dinner with someone special!
