“Fun place to go on a date or a meeting.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Trapper’s Sushi has four locations: South Hill (South and up the hill from Puyallup), Bremerton, Covington and Bonney Lake (located in a strip mall next to Regal Cinemas). I have been to the South Hill location and the Bonney Lake location. This review is for South Hill. If you are looking for good “American” style sushi, this is the place to go. The best night to go is on Tuesday’s nights for “All you can eat sushi” for $20.00. Keep in mind, the place is small so it gets crowed on Tuesdays. Actually, during the dinner times, they can be crowed. But don't let that stop you. Half the fun of going here is the experience where the best experience is at the bar. You can watch, if you can see over the counter, the sushi guys making them. It is also a great place to socialize. Everyone at the bar is your friend and everyone comments on each other’s sushi. Trappers offer you a variety: they have over 40+ kinds of sushi. Some favorites are: Trump (Crystal shrimp with cream cheese covered with salmon topped with a torched garlic shrimp sauce), Mountain (Crystal shrimp covered with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, spicy crab & tobiko), and Captain Crunch (Real crab, cucumber, avocado & tobiko rolled in tempura crumbs). American style has stuff like cream cheese that you wouldn’t find in regular sushi. The service is quick: you just tell the sushi bartender and he makes it for you. You can really fill up with these things. It’s not fancy inside but this can be a fun date for you and your spouse or friend. It can be good for families although sitting at the tables would be a better place for kids. The menu is the same at every location. The staff is friendly and the food is good. I would recommend this place to any friend of mine. Great for couples, families, friends or business gatherings.

“Wow...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

Even my grandkids like to eat here! Picky eater 9 yr. old said "Wow, this place can even make mushrooms good!" Talking about the vegetable tempura. Try the Willis, California crunch and the Puyallup!

“Good place to get some quick, but delicious sushi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

I live not 10 minutes from Trappers in Puyallup and love it for a few reasons. The food is ALWAYS made fresh and fast no matter how crowded it is. They have a lot of different roles to choose from and I've never been disappointed with any of them. They have great gyoza and great tempura veggies. Another thing we enjoy is that they do a military discount everyday of the week which is great for us! You can also call in an order and they usually have it ready within 15 minutes. The only thing I can really complain about is that they never seem to have enough waitresses and that it can get a little pricey. Especially on their busy "all you can eat" nights, they will only have one or two girls running around taking care of everyone at the bar and at regular tables...I just feel bad for them! Also, some of the roles are a little on the pricey side, but that doesn't deter us from going once every week or two!

“Best sushi in town!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012 via mobile

I usually go to the trappers in Covington and love their rolls! They make fresh creative rolls that are amazing. I was a little upset with the service at this particular(puyallup ) location but the food is the same high quality . I recomend sitting at the bar and indulging in an all you can eat lunch or dinner

“Unique rolls for sure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012

Love the uniqueness of the rolls. Having found three or four favorites, makes it so hard to try new ones. With them all being delicious, we try to have at least one new one each time and have never been disappointed
