We were familiar with Desert Wind wines as we have purchased them in the Duck Pond tasting room in Oregon, so the winery was on our list for tasting. We noticed that they had a restaurant and decided to make it our lunch destination. We were extremely happy that we did. It was asparagus season in the Yakima valley and asparagus was on menus everywhere. My girl friend and I both had the grilled asparagus on a croissant (see photo) and I thought it was one of the most inventive and tasty sandwiches I have consumed. My husband had the salmon ceasar wrap - but it did not rate compared to the cooing noises from our end of the table. The side salads that came with the sandwiches were huge, inventive and almost a meal in themselves. I would highly recommend Mojave (the food was so much better that the highly touted Wine O Clock.)
