“Excellent Highlight for trip to Wine Country”

Vestige, Snipes Mountain Red Blend was outstanding. The food and service matched the tremendous selection of wines. A warm and inviting place for all. The wood burning pizza oven and open kitchen produce outstanding aromas.

“Yumness. (Yes, that's a word)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Wine o'Clock was recommended to us by a local.

We had soup and salad, and everything was delicious. The flight of wine was fantastic and generously poured, and the service was great.

The only small knock that I have really isn't Wine o'Clock's fault. It's just that all of these wineries and wine-related businesses all look like they were designed and built by the same developer who is trying to recreate Italian wine country. Where is the originality and diversity?

Okay, done with my rant. Like I said, it's not Wine o'Clock's fault. Go eat their delicious food and drink their delicious wine from local wineries.

“DO NOT MISS THIS RESTAURANT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

The food is outstanding as is the service and the wine! Everything I have eaten here has been over the top delicious. Susan Bunnell, owner, has done a tremendous job with developing a menu that is outstanding and one would never believe that the little town of Prosser could showcase such an establlishment.

“Best Experience in the Valley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

Lunch at Wine o’Clock was the highlight of our Yakima wine trip. What a fantastic experience. The décor is professional but homey, with an inviting staff, an open kitchen, and a wood burning pizza oven as a focal point.

Our intention was just to stop by and taste through some of their wines and have lunch, but it turned into a multi-course, multi-flight extravaganza. Owner Susan took us through a series of delectable small plates that started with a fatty salmon belly tartar with ponzu sauce, and from there went through a simple but classically delicious beef stroganoff, a sampling of pizzas, and two desserts. My favorite touch was serving bagna cauda (olive oil simmered with garlic, hot peppers, and anchovies) on the side with the pizzas, which blew them over the top.

With each course we had a flight (or two) of husband and winemaker Ron’s beautifully crafted wines. Far from the typical overly-heavily-handed Washington wines that typically cross our path, Ron’s wines were elegant, subtle, feminine, fruity when they needed it, wonderfully acidic to pair with foods, and yet still built around a solid sense of structure that held up to provide long developed finishes. The wines, through all the labels and varieties we tasted (and Ron is a winemaking machine), possessed a heightened sense of balance we didn’t find at any other stop in our trip. Varieties I normally find flat and flabby (like Viognier), were bright and lively and filled the trunk of my car.

Ron and Susan, thank you for your time, your wonderful restaurant, and delicious wines. Writing this makes we want to go pull a bottle of the Fraiche!

“Excellent food... Poorly treated”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014 via mobile

We were in the Prosser wine village, tasting local wines, and decided to have lunch here as we could sit outside... There were three of us and waitress didnt want to seat us at what she referred to as a "5-top" round table stating she only would if we agreed to be moved should a larger group of five come after us!!! This happened to us once before there and so we guess it must be bad policy!

We are glad that you enjoyed the food on your last visit, but as the owner, I am so sorry our service fell short. I would like to address the situation with the staff as soon as I can. Is it possible for you to contact me directly? The restaurant phone number is (509) 786-2197. Were there no appropriately sized tables available? I will work with the staff on this situation no matter what, but it might be more effective with a little more information. We don’t actually have any round tables inside or outside, and we haven’t seated outside since the first of October last year, so I’m having a difficult time narrowing this down. You should never have been asked to move. I apologize and will make it clear that this is against our policy. That being said, with our garden seating arrangement we usually only have two out of 12 tables that can seat more than 4 people. It isn’t possible to seat 5 – 8 people on a square table for 4 or less. We don’t have any other alternatives to offer larger parties than those two tables. Because of this we don’t usually seat parties smaller than 5 on the only two tables that can accommodate a larger group.

I appreciate your having taken the time to let us know of this lapse, and hope that next time you are in the Prosser Vintner’s Village you will let me personally make reservations for you.

Best Regards,
Susan E. Bunnell
