Again, the reviews led me to expect a lot from this hotel. Although the staff and lobby were very nice, the room was just so-so. As others have noted, the hotel is right on the main road to the ferry. It might have been my room location, which was on the ground floor facing the road, but it was VERY noisy all night long. I could also hear the people in the room above me walking around, as well as persons outside the room.
The room was large enough and mostly clean (the bathroom was VERY clean). One exception. As I hung some clothes up in the little closet corner, my eyes wandered up to the ceiling corner and there was a HUGE wolf spider! Luckily, I had a very brave room companion who did the catch and release. Now I'm pretty tolerant of spiders in a motel in the wooded Northwest area. However, there were several clumps of old cobwebs hanging around the closet and vanity area. They had obviously been there for a long time, so one would have to wonder how often the room is thoroughly cleaned.
Overall, I would probably stay here again if I was in the area. It would depend on the price. It might be worth it to stay a little farther away at a cheaper price.
