“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Started the meal off with hush puppies which I'd never had before. Very tasty. If you're a fan of brisket then by all means go to Addie's. Possibly the best brisket I've had in years. The meat is so tender that it melts in your mouth. In fact there were so many appealing menu items that a return visit is definitely called for. Our server was attentive and couldn't have been more pleasant. A great dining experience in Port Townsend located at the end of Water Street (formerly the Salal Cafe). Highly recommended.

“Delicious and different!! Great food great service, will definitely be back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

We had the fried pickles, delicious(!), hush puppies with a delightful Cajun maple syrup, mmmm and brisket for dinner. The brisket was very good, not the best, my sister in law makes the best. But this was good. The collard greens were seasoned well and very good, the Cheesy grits were more like a custard, nice and creamy, but bland, better suited to breakfast I think. The blackened peas were very tasty, and I highly highly recommend the fin river habenaro hard cider! Warm but not hot ( spicy wise) and sweet crisp at the same time! Bottle is huge so be prepared to share. Lots and lots of food, wonderful dinner, just wish it was closer!!

“Southern Yummies in the Northwest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

This little treasure of a eatery has about 14 tables and over half seat 4 while the rest are doubles. They will accommodate larger parties of 6 or more but you'll have an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill. Service is attentive, atmosphere is bright, menu is representative of southern fare, and it's hot, good and fairly prices. Our dinners ran $14.00 each and were delicious. They open for lunch between 11:30 AM and 3 PM then back open for dinner between 5 -9 PM. Since we visited in March parking wasn't a problem but if you come during the summer you should park on Washington Street at the NE end of town and then walk over 1 block south to Water street a stroll back to the Restaurant. Hope you find it as enjoyable as we did.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

Best Mac n cheese I ever had. Wife and I have been twice and we love it. Chicken and dumpling soup is very flavorful! Corn bread made like Ive never had before....a bit of a sweet cake taste that will bring us back craving for more. Such a great difference for PT!

“South'n Cookin in Port Townsend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

The former Salal Cafe is now Addie Mae's and features appys like deep fried pickles and hush puppies and lunch offerings like Cajun caesar salad, gumbo, jambalaya, red rice & beans, blackened catfish and southern fried chicken. The gumbo was rich with okra, chicken, andouille sausage and rice. Fried chicken was lightly battered and piping hot with french fries and a chunky coleslaw.
Service was friendly, but after a prompt serving of pickles, the mains took quite a while to appear. We don't usually plan on over an hour for lunch in PT.
