Our room was okay, although the classic, beautiful chairs in our room weren't very clean. But the bathroom was pretty cool, beautiful white tile, large frosted glass window, and big fluffy towels. Our dinner in the dining room was quite good, although our waiter was a bit goofy. While I didn't actually see a ghost, I slept poorly & had nightmares, which may have been due to the three children in an adjacent room who were squealing until, I don't know, probably 11PM? The next morning, 'breakfast' was served in the basement of this former Jesuit seminary. It was a poor excuse for a Continental Breakfast; no cold cereal, no milk, no bagels or toast, and minimal fruit. The highlights were good muffins, and an excellent carrot bread, but then I found out it really was carrot cake that they just didn't frost! The one thing I really liked about this dark basement (besides plenty of coffee) was the juxtaposition the church-influenced chairs and all the old, sedate photos on the walls, vs the1970's cocktail bar with huge brass rails, and fake wood paneling.
