We stayed in the 7E house. I was told that this was one they have recently remodeled so it was in good shape, no broken dishes, and very enjoyable. It did lack towel racks in the bathrooms but a minor inconvenience. I guess I looked at our stay as being in a historic rustic place, not a 5 star hotel. Our place had a fairly well stocked kitchen, nice sized dining room and living room, porch w/ view of the field and ocean, and four bedrooms w/ 1 1/2 baths. Our whole group loved the place. It does echo alot so can be tough if trying to put down young children to sleep early while the rest converse. We had a family reunion there and it seemed as though everyone else did too since there were lots of family groups while we were there.
The location is fantastic. Not far from the downtown area but quiet. Bring your kites. In the late afternoon, we all went out, as did others, to fly our kites. The kids loved it. The beach is right there and the lighthouse and fort is within walking distance. I am not sure I would bother staying anywhere else. We really enjoyed staying here!
