“nice but pricy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2010

The colour used, high ceiling and large windows create a pleasant atmosphere ,reminding us of parts of France. We went for breakfast and found the food was nothing special and over priced. Service was good. The Cafe is located in the Upper Town , an area nice for strolling about.

“Slow cooking takes on a whole new meaning...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2009

We visited Port Townsend last week while on vacation. My husband and I ate out every meal (we wanted to get the full experience of the town). Out of the four breakfast restaurants we went to, Sweet Laurette's was the worst we experienced. The food was inexcusably slow to come out, and my pancakes were gray and tasteless. Although my husband's omelette was quite tasty, his potatoes were underseasoned, undercooked, and almost cold. We noticed the tables around us were having a similar experience. The service, however, was wonderful. We just felt that the quality of food and the time it took getting it didn't warrant the prices we paid.

“Great Pancakes, French Toast, and Mochas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2009

Wow, best french toast, pancakes and mochas I have ever had. One visit and every thing I had was the best ever. The french toast is baked, not fried. Mocha was huge and wonderful. Real maple syrup was served. Other tables had great looking food too and made me jealous that I didn't get an egg order as well. Getting our food took awhile, but this is not Dennys!

“Delicious for breakfast or lunch if you're not in a hurry.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2009

Previous reviewers are absolutely right. The food here is some of the best in town -- possibly the best. Their capuccino is to die for. Breakfast is amazing, tasty, and extremely filling -- not good for dieters! The atmosphere (and service) are authentically French, in the good way.

The prices are a bit on the high side, but we go here when we want to splurge (in every way) on a delicious breakfast or lunch out in the sunshiny courtyard. Service is always good, if not speedy. Good French bistro fare.

“Lovely, tasty, but slow.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2009

Very cute neighborhood cafe with good food. It looks to be crowded much of the time but that's mostly because they are so slow to bring out the food. Good place to have a nice long chat with someone while you wait.
