“great food but waited an hour for our dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

Our dinner was good-we ordered ricotta stuffed zucchini blossoms and they were divine..I had the steak au poivre and it was a bit tough in places. My husband had the lamb shank and loved it. We waited an hour after ordering to receive our food which seemed like a really long time-but it did help us to work up an appetite!

“Skip the deserts, try the biscuit and gravy breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

Such great reviews on yelp but…mixed results for us. Hubby had a biscuits and gravy for breakfast that was the best he ever had. I even liked it, and I am not a big gravy fan, so this boosted my rating up to a 3 star rating. I had a dutch baby pancake that promised a pear/apple compote on top. Pancake was small and I couldn’t taste pear anything only apple. Side of pork/apple sausage was also boring in flavor. Coffee was weak, not what you would expect for a French bistro. Then again I thought, it could have just been what I ordered, so we returned later in the week for a pastry. They looked beautiful in the case. I ordered a carrot cake and hubby a lemon tart. We got an espresso and café mocha. The mocha was decent but the espresso was bitter. The lemon tart filling was nice and tart but it was topped with a swirl of hardened, white flavorless icing reminiscent of Crisco shortening. The shortbread crust on the tart was adequate but so hard that we couldn’t cut it without chunks flying off the plate. The carrot cake was dry, not much spice or flavor and topped with the same white flavorless icing.

“A wonderful meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012 via mobile

We stopped in for Sunday brunch and were not disappointed. The salmon BLT was awesome as was the angus beef burger. Eat here, you won't be disappointed.

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

Great food. Sometimes the service can be slow, but this is a "slow food" restaurant. The food is from fresh local ingredients and you cannot be in a hurry when you eat here. If you have a deadline to meet, then you should probably eat elsewhere, because you will not properly enjoy the food.

“Delicious pastries and coffee!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

But only average service. The server was not very friendly and she ignored a couple that came in for several minutes before asking them what they wanted. We returned the next day again to buy pastries to go on our road trip but I wouldn't necessarily go in to sit and have a coffee.
