“Nice in January”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014

We stayed overnight in one of the officers houses, that made it so easy to enjoy the great beach and tour the museum. We walked to the old bunkers which is quite a walk all up hill and we were close to Pt Townsend for shopping and eating! I also wrote a review on the rental house at the park.

“Great Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

This Fort has been an interesting place to visit as it has served many different rolls in protecting the west coast of our country. A great amount of history here and the people that are on staff to tell you about it are knowledgeable and nice. definitely worth your time.

“One of the very best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

A very large and beautiful state park with a fascinating history as well. Beautiful scenery. The old military bunkers from the early 1900's are fascinating to explore and there are many more of them than one would guess. All offer great views of the surrounding waterways. The restored military buildings are all there to see and the officers quarters can be reserved for an overnight stay. There are also campsites at the beach. And a marine science center at the beach too. An absolutely beautiful lighthouse with a long wide beach that leads to it. A great place to visit, year round, whether in sunshine or not.

“Beach hikes and Battery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014

The beach walks are wonderful and kid-friendly. Easy access. It's possible to rent the officers houses or the barracks. We've brought big groups here for the weekend and always have a super time. It's a nice walk into town for window shopping and there are trails all around the park for adventures.

“FORT WORDEN...A MAGICAL PLACE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

This is a beautiful restored military base that has many amenities for all the family...marine science center, kayaking, beach, swimming, shelling, picnicing, annual world-class blues and jazz festivals, housing for singles or family and crowned with a restored light house on the end of the spit.
