I try to pick out of the way places when I stay local....and finding this little gem was simply awesome...nestled in the bay the room had a view of the marina on one side and the sound on the other...we chose a corner king room...the room was perfect as far as size and all the goodies, including a huge jacuzzi tub which she enjoyed both nights there...the staff was friendly and helpful and the grounds and rooms were clean and orderly...just what we needed for a weekend away....we didnt do all the hiking trails that are numerous around this area...a bit soggy for us to go exploring when we were just looking for a relaxing weekend away...Port Angeles was only about a 45 minute drive to the west so we day tripped there...had to hit Swain,s, which is a store where you can pretty much find ANYTHING...the 7 Cedars Casino was also a stop on our way back to the resort from P.A....and awesome weekend for sure...and we will stay here again...one draw back...the bed was a bit firm for our liking...but hey...you cant pick beds everyone will like all the time so no big deal...at least it wasnt a dish from over use...so pack up and head for Pt Ludlow...you will not be disappointed

Room Tip: the bay end of the hotel has the best views...but all have a view..

I have traveled extensively, both business and leisure, stateside and international, for over 40 years.
A friend and I stayed at this lovely complex while visiting family for Thanksgiving. The hotel and grounds were beautiful and excellently maintained, with views of the water, marina, and the mountains. The personable staff, accommodations (great fireplace & jacuzzi tub room), and restaurant were superb. The restaurant menu, food (extremely fresh & delicious), and service rival anything I have enjoyed elsewhere.
There were people sailing toy boats in the pond on Wed. The snow arrived that evening for Thanksgiving morning. It could not have been more idyllic.
Special Note: I always tip Housekeeping daily -with a "Thank You Housekeeping" notation on the facility notepaper. Each day at your resort, your Housekeeping staff replied to my note with a hand-written "Thank You" and "Happy Holidays" of their own. This has happened less than 6 times in all my travels! (Yes, so rarely that I am able to recall each occasion.) Please thank your staff for their personal replies, excellent service and consideration of their guests. It was a most heart-warming experience.

A special place to celebrate our 18th wedding honeymoon!
We wanted a place that was close to home but had the feell of a distant get away resort. We were very much pleased with the ambiance and amenities at the Port Ludlow Inn. The room was clean, quite and romantic with an incredible waterfront view of the Olympics The restaurant, had great food and wine list and the service for both the Inn and the restaurant was fantastic. A great spot for a get away and every one there went out of their way to make our experience special and relaxing. We will be back for their restaurant specials as well as for quick escapes! Thank you!

Room Tip: Sellect the relaxation package and get a sweet if possible!

What a peaceful beautiful place. I love coming up in the winter when it is quiet. 4 star all the way. The fireside restaurant is beyond compare. The seafood is all fresh...my scallops were flown fresh from the east coast. NOTHING FROZEN. The place is amazing.

I recently stayed here for a retreat. We took over the resort and were treated like royalty. The food was delicious and healthy, I always felt like there were plenty of choices that were good for me and tasty. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Late night cups of tea by the fireplace were always accommodated. The rooms are large and with every amenity you could think of. I especially liked the bath products, the bath salts and the lotion bars were wonderful. It was so nice to soak in the jacuzzi and watch the fireplace after our full days of classes. The beds very comfy and warm. I can't think of a single thing I would improve on and I will definitely be back.

We just stayed here the past two nights. It is lovely and calming. The resort has that New England feel, the grounds are lovely, beach nice, staff warm, the restaurant was very good. All in all we loved it. Dogs are welcome! Little touch up are needed with paint walls a little thin but generally worth the visit. Port Townsend is close too check that out. We will go back!

Room Tip: Pick a room with a marina view and balcony

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2014

My husband and I needed a little getaway from everyday life so I surprised him with a trip to the Inn. It was beautiful and exactly what we needed. The hotel staff was very friendly, clean rooms, and comfy beds. Someone had mentioned to bring your own pillow, I personally love down pillows and thought they were great. Check out just as expected quick and simple. We had dinner at the Fireside Restaurant which is located inside, and it was amazing. Overall it was a wonderful trip and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in a corner, wonderful high ceilings.

Thank you for this lovely review. We are delighted that your experience was "just what was needed" - something we hear from our guests quite often. There really is something about "crossing the bridge" that says a-h-h-h-h and we are so happy that this was what happened for you. Yes, our pillows are pretty great - and most guests find the comfort of the room something that allows for this level of relaxation. We also appreciate that you enjoyed the dining experience. Our goal is to care for our guests in such a way that they feel comfortable and appreciated. We leave the rest to Mother Nature. We do hope to see you again soon and thanks again for making the time to share your impressions.
