“Loved it so much we went two nights in a row!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

This place was great! We went on a Wednesday during happy hour (4pm to 6pm) and were impressed with what we got for $5 each: cheese fondue that was amazing, thai chicken wraps, and two generous sized bruschettas as appetizers. We ordered the happy hour wine flights and got 3 generous pours of wine each. With all this and after dinner cocktails, the bill for two was just $46! Amazing! And the food was delicious!

But the best part was the staff! The manager, Steve, is a friendly, delightful guy who we really enjoyed chatting with. We sat at the bar and were glad we did, because the bartender put on a great show mixing the drinks, and was glad to tell us what he was making and what the ingredients were. It was really fun to watch. Also, on Wednesday nights they have a jazz guitarist starting at six, and he was great!

We enjoyed the food and friendly staff so much that we went back the next night. We ordered the cheese fondue again (it really is fantastic!) but opted for some entrees off the main menu instead of just the happy hour menu items. The beet salad with almonds, cranberries, fennel and goat's cheese was delicious and the chicken thighs with a fantastic bacon polenta and vegetables was really, really good. With two cocktails, appetizer, entrees, and after dinner drinks, the bill this night was $58 before tip, which we thought was very reasonable.

Make sure you go here while in Olympia... the food is really delicious, the staff are so friendly, the drinks are amazing, and you will be very glad you went!

“Lovely and Intimate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

Over looking Capitol Lake and the city proper a little red house on a hill. The wait staff has always been the best in town and the Wine Flights need to be experienced. Live and Learn here.

“Cozy up to your neighbors and have a great meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

This tiny restaurant occupies a house overlooking Capitol Lake. I have visited several times and never been disappointed. Uniquely crafted, tasty, if a bit pricy, menu items. Only possible downside: being seated next to a table of noisy revelers and overhearing every word. Great spot for a date when not crowded.

“Wine bar overlooking Capital lake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

I like this place. It's in a converted house, decor on the funky side, but overlooking Capital Lake. A $15 menu with million dollar view. However, what I like best is that they have a rotating list of 6 or so wine flights, wherein you can sample 3 theme-related wines for a about 10 bucks.
