“Overpriced, Over-rated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

Fancy restaurant for parties, special gatherings or special occasions, but I have been once and don't care if I go back. The food was okay, but very buttery and rich, and overpriced. You have to sit at a table with complete strangers and the show the chef does when cooking at your group table was cheesy. Kids would probably like it. I would go elsewhere and save some $$.

“Great fun and average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Stopped in on my way to another restaurant while on vacation with my wife and granddaughter. I am not really a fan of this type of steakhouse and prefer traditional Japanese food. With that said the place was beautiful, the help more than friendly, and the choices very wide. Our chef did an amazing job working the grill and his audience. My granddaughter got a chance to pose with him and his tools which really pleased her. The food was good. although I would not call it great. The tempura batter and veggie was not very tasty and the dipping sauce average. My salmon was just ok and frankly it looked like it was formed since the size and shape were exactly the same for both pieces and matched the ones served to the guests next to us.

All in all it was enjoyable because of the fun and the prep whoch is what this type of restaurant is about.

“Expect to wait”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

This is a family style seating restaurant which means you get to wait until enough people are there to fill a table, sometimes up to 45 minutes. We find it much easier to go to the bar where you can order all of the same foods but they are served to you quickly. You must try the experience at least once!

“Fun, but food was lame”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

I was looking forward to a big meal with lots of vegetables, rice, and meat! Unfortunately, the guy (although very entertaining) served up the rice first (steamed rice came by itself) then served us maybe a half cup of veggies each.... then we ate what we had while we waited for the meat to cook.
Overall it's fine, but I had higher hopes going into it.

“Wonderful Entertainment but Quality Varies”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

We have been going to the Olympia Fujiyama for years.

The Hibachi is always entertaining with the Chef cooking at a grill at your table.

Dinners range from $15 to $25

Unfortunately, the quality of the food changes with the Hibachi chef, today the grill was too hot and the eggs burnt slightly, instead of the chef recooking, he just finished the fried rice while turning the grill down.

But I will be back, even the worst food here is GREAT!
