“Local favorite”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

This place doesn't look like a lot from the outside. Inside it is basic decor, reminiscent of the 60's. Lots of burgers and sandwiches. Above all are the shakes in dozens of flavors. I tried the smoked beef French Dip sandwich. The seasonings on the beef were not what I expected (more peppery) so I wouldn't try this again but the fried mushrooms and everything else looked good. Prices were a tad more than I would expect from a place like this but I would go back and try a different flavor shake and one of the burgers. There were lots of locals in when I stopped by so clearly it is a popular local hangout.

“Loved the John Wayne burger ... whoa!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Stopped by for a taste of heaven and a bit of nostalgia at the same time. Norma's has always been a 'burger' favorite of our family. From the first one east of this, to this one, to the new expanded location at the bottom of the Nisqually hill. I have favorites, and they have never failed me. The John Wayne burger, awesome! The burger with sauteed onions, to die for!. This is not your major chain burger place, These qualify as fantastic, true, gourmet burgers! Cost a bit more, taste a bunch better and are a lot bigger than most. If you love a great hamburger, try one from Norma's, EXCELLENT!

“GOOD DOGS TOO!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

I have been going to Norm's and Norma's since the seventies, and their burgers are great.
There's two places to go in Thurston county for a burger, and they are Norma's and Big Tom's.
Norma's and Big Tom's both could be considered the northwest's answer to IN-N-OUT burger.
I recently went to Norma's in Lacey, off Martin Way, down the hill in the Nisqually river valley just North of town. I ordered one of their quarter pound hot dogs with sweet potato fries.
The hot dog was very good with all the condiments that I could need.
The price was a little high, because I could get a near quality hot dog from Costco, but without the sweet potato fries and ranch dipping sauce.
You won't be disappointed, however, when you order a Norma's burger.
