“Quinault is okay...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2009

We stayed Valentines weekend, myself and husband. The hotel was packed. Room was a little run down, could use a facelift. Fireplace was wonderful, but the timer only lasts for 30 minutes. The bathroom mirror area could use some brighter lighting. Also, more pillows on the bed would be nice, only two for a king size bed.
Could not get into Emily's restaurant for any dinners, it was booked solid. Breakfast there was fair, nothing fancy and the food was just average.

We just stayed at the Quinalt on Jan. 17th for 2 nights in an oceanview king room and had a great time, it was our 3rd time staying there and we weren't disappointed. The room is really comfortable and even has a fireplace which was great. The only thing I think would be nice to have in the rooms would be a microwave but other then that I have no complaints.

We will never visit this resort again, due to the horrible customer service. However, what topped that was the Upper-Management that didn't even care about the terrible service we received and were rude and even had security harrass us. Local people won't go there anymore because of the terrible management. Several locals said that the resort has been through 4 CEO's/GM's in the last year and half. What does that tell you?

Never Again, we don't care how good of a deal it is! Management tried to bully us, and call us liars. Security called us at 7:30 in the morning, because we spent too much money there and they thought we were doing something fishy. On and on......

Give it to me free....and I will still not go there again! We were humiliated!

We stayed at Quinault on New Year's Eve. For $450, we got a room facing away from the ocean, 2 dinner buffets and 2 morning buffets.
We thought it was about 200 over priced. The food was just ok, the band they had for the party had a terrible sound system that had feedback all night.
The casino is VERY smoky.... so much so, that we will never return.
Overall, we did not have a good time due to the fact that we felt we were ripped off on prices.

We stayed here last week and had and had a great stay. The first room we were shown did not match my iniital request. After a phone call to the desk, all was resolved to our complete satisfaction. The room was clean and we had an excelent oceanfront view. Lots of people were there for clamming season. We also enjoyed a great dinner and a nice breakfast there during our stay. We used the AAA rate and did not go in the casino because of the smoky environment. Both the room and the restaurant were non-smoking. It sounds like the real issue in some of the other reviews is the use and honoring of comps and management change and not the facilities.

Unfortunately ~ Quinault Beach Resort has taken a nosedive in standards. My husband and I have been repeat customers but will no longer frequent this establishment. Why? The new management has some really strange theories on customer relations. We use to love Emily's ~ however the same thing happened to us as with a previous post. We had been given comps for breakfast entrees. Our waitress was aware of the comp before we ordered. We ordered and ate our meals. While waiting for our bill the shift manager, Alesha came over to our table and proceed to tell us that that the "free entree comp" wouldn't be honored because it wasn't signed and we would have to pay for the meal. We stated that no where on the comp did it state expiration date or signature required. We asked to talk with a manger and was told that there wasn't one available. We stated that you needed to call your manager because we weren't going to pay for something that was a comp. Alesha proceeded to laugh at me (so so unprofessional and so very very rude). Very unethical to have coupons given to customers and not honor them. I went there for a break from just having lost a dear sweet loved one to cancer and boy ~ what a mistake.
Money is too hard earned ~ so if you are traveling somewhere for a peaceful time or a fun break do not stay or eat at Quinault Beach!

We were sent a letter telling us we would be comped two free nights in the Casino in the Grand Suite and would get dinner for two at Emily's. Well guess what. When we called to get reservations they said they had a new CEO and a new manager and they were not honoring this anymore. We fought them and the last offer was a king room-- regular room and 80.00 towards dinner at Emily's. We are going in the middle of the week and the only way I got them to do this was threatening to call the attorney general and the better business bureau which I still might do. There is nothing on the letter stating they can do away with the offer or change it. I think this is bad business practice and in todays economy just plain bad as I will never go there again and I am letting all our friends ect know about this experience and word of mouth is a great way to get experiences around and let others know what they might have to deal with. I would not waste my time going here. We were treated royally at other Indian Casinos such as the Tualip which just opened and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

  • Disliked — The front desk help and the manager ect were all rude.
