“Don't Miss This!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Quaint little taco stand run by a one-woman show. She's eccentric, and curt, but she knows her Mexican food. Best tacos you can get in Ocean Shores (or almost anywhere.) Al Pastor is to die for, fresh made salsa bar and housemade tortilla chips while you wait, real crema and always fresh ingredients. You may have to wait in line at this small taco shack, but it is well worth the wait. Another favorite everytime my family and I go to O.S.

“Nice try at authentic mexican food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

This little taqueria which is not even gramatically spelled correct in spanish. It seems it is owned by "gringos'' and if you know mexican food; it is hard to replicate authetic mexican food; unless you actually grew up making it with family recipes. I do give them credit for trying. I suggest that they have someone in there who speaks spanish because although their menu is semi in spanish- when a spanish-speaking customer when in there; they were clueless. They have very little to choose from and are a little over-priced. We asked for a quesadilla and tacos. They quesadilla was HUGE and their carne al pastor was delicious. We were disappointed they didnt offer tacos de asada (very odd for a taqueria).. But overall it was good food..

“Authentic food and equally delightlful authentic owner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2012

First the food; the burritos, which come in your choice if memory serves 3 meats. Chey forgive me if I am wrong, is so large that only a glutton could consume it by himself so plan on sharing it. The reason she makes them one at a time is because of the many choices you have once she places the rice on the giant tortilla. Choice of beans, toppings which are numerous and any or all of her 4 homemade salsas. Beware of the habanera. But of course this is not the only item on her menu, unfortunately since my husband and I are so hooked on the burritos I cannot relate them as well but I have heard other locals rave about the tacos which come with any of the meats and also fish. There are numerous other items as well all made by Chey from fresh ingredients. If she may be forgiven for not maintaining regular hours or hiring more people to improve the speed of service one must understand that in Ocean Shores the majority of her customers are just us locals and business is very slow when you all go home.Businesses must operate on very different principles here. Also she is a free spirit and those of us who know her well love her for it. Take a few moments to get to know her and enjoy her spirit and you won't mind the few minutes wait, after all you are on vacation aren't you
