“Don't miss La Chica if you like the Real Deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2011

The food here is utterly delicious, and as authentic as it gets stateside. We have had almost everything on the menu and enjoyed it all. As to the owner, she is a character, in all that conveys. She is colorful, full of life, and, and big hearted, plus being a magnificent cook. She is also a wee bit heard of hearing, so kindly take that into consideration. If you want it fast, and standardized, this is not the place for you. So move out of the line and let me step up and order.

“Not Kid Friendly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2011

Interesting review before this one. (Thus my review)

We were in town for a BUSY Festival weekend. (friday, sat, sun)

We stopped by several times.

1st Visit:
Waited, then waited for her to finish talking to a local (with no greeting) appeared to had been drinking, then waited some more then left.
2nd visit:
Arrived in the middle of the day. CLOSED Saw the back kitchen door open...inquired, she came out very angry that people were parking in her parking lot and chasing away her business she also was using very colorful language even with out 9 year old present. Once again appeared to be drunk. She told us she would be open at 11 am the next day and to come back.
3rd Visit:
Its now Sunday, atfer noon and the place was not open.

Its a good thing "she" owns this place, because this bad behavior will affect her Business. Its too bad the Local Commerce allows this sort of thing in a busy tourist town.

I choose originally to not write a review, but since seeing the review below mine made me think it needed to eb said.

Not a good w

“Amazing burritos! Favorite meal of the weekend.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2011 via mobile

We just stopped here on our way out of town and are so glad we did. We shared a burrito (it was HUGE!) and an order of chips and salsa. The chips are made while you wait. This is a one woman shop so if there is a line it is a short wait (but very much worth it).

Cons- very little indoor seating and cash only

Opens at 11:30 am. Sign said open until sunset, except open until 4 on Sunday

“If she is open you better stop!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2010

You might miss this place and that would be a shame. While small in stature and price this place is big on fresh, flavorful mexican food. It is not a "full" menu but you are sure to come away happy. Prices are very reasonable, food is fresh, everything is just right.
