“Terrific experience, nice folks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

Nice people, fun 45 minute boat ride. Some local history, beautiful views, comfortable ride. Everyone was happy, toddler and old folks included. Easy access off Highway 20, and convenient parking (state park fee required for the parking lot) so it would be a pleasant diversion on the way driving through, also.

“Interesting idea. Would go only if in the area.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

We were in Anacortes for a whale watching tour and Deception Pass was just a short drive from where we were. We also had a GO Seattle Card that included this tour at no charge.
We were able to obtain our tickets at the Deception Pass Bridge and then find our way down to the boat. We were somewhat surprised when we arrived and had to pay a $10.00 per car parking fee. Apparently this is levied by the state and went into effect July 1st. We really couldn't complain since we weren't paying for the tour, but it would have been good service to advise customers before they got all the way down to the boat.
The tour itself lasted almost an hour. It was interesting and the view of the bridge from the water was very nice. We did see some eagles and other wildlife. The narrator was very good.
I would only take this tour if I was already in the area for something else.

“Wildlife MY OH MY!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2010

Took my kids on this tour in July! So glad we did! We saw Harbor Porpoises, Eagles, Seals and a ton of marine birds.

The tour operators are very professional. You get your tickets at Deception Pass Bridge and then drive about 1.5 miles to the dock. When you get to the dock, they have someone waiting there for you normally. The crew did a very good job explaining the local history. Everyone was in a uniform, which was great because I've been on a lot of tours where they were not very professional and it showed!

At the end of the tour, they pass out red vines- which my kids loved of course! I would give this tour two thumbs up simply because they can do an eagle call!

Best time to go would be in the morning or at low tide- the tour after ours was completely booked.

“A New Perspective- Looking Up”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2010

This is money and time well spent. We took this tour on a clear , sunny, summer day. Great photos and information. Taking the two early tours tends to save you from the crowds. Remember jackets -as marine weather is always cool. The boat varies its speed and postions - which enhances the journey. A bit disappointed in the narrative part of thre trip. The guide was a bit young and didn't seem natural or at ease with his delivery of information. This is a great tour for out of town guest and for those of us from the Northwest that haven't had the opportuiny to pass under deception pass by boat. Ticket location is not at the marina, but located in the parking lot near the bridge. This is where you get boarding pass.- and assigned a time to board
